Gegen den Ringflansch η legt sich der Rand der Platte i. Der Innendurchmesser des Ringflansches η ist gleich dem Außendurchmesser des Spundes. An der Stelle des Siegels 0 sind in dem Flansch η Ausschnitte ρ gemacht. Nach Aufschrauben der Sicherungsplatte liegt das Siegel vollkommen geschützt. Damit sich beim Losschrauben der Sicherungsplatte der Spund nicht mit losschraubt, ist die \⁷erschraubung zwischen b und d umgekehrt wie zwischen g und k. Ist an der einen Stelle Rechtsgewinde, dann ist an der anderen Stelle Linksgewinde. Infolge des verschiedenen Gewindes der beiden Verschraubungen wirken also Sicherungsplatte und Spund während des Transports gegenseitig als Gegenmutter.
