Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
In der Regel entsteht daher nur in der Bewegungsrichtung des Rössels von rechts nach linksSo that on flat knitting machines with individually movable needles, needle rails and Pieces of goods produced by stings (Feze and the like) to obtain a solid edge are left from the edge needle do not form one stitch in every row, but one row around the others suspend stitching. As a rule, therefore, only occurs in the direction of movement of the knight from right to left
Infolgedessen entsteht oft Nadelbruch, wodurch Warenfehler und Betriebsstörungen der Maschine herbeigeführt werden.ίο a stitch on the edge needle, and the fabric edge is pulled together tightly in the desired way due to the failure of the stitch formation with the opposite direction of movement of the knot. With the previously known device, the temporary suspension of the loop formation on the edge needle is brought about by the fact that the edge needle is less high than the other needles at the given point in time and is removed again before the thread is inserted. In order to achieve this, needles η with two working feet (Fig. 1) are used and the same can be driven so high by means of a rail s engaging at the upper foot that their stitches get behind the tongues (Fig. I a), while pulling off for the purpose of stitch formation by means of a knurl r on the lower foot; however, the edge needle m is only at such a height that its stitch still remains on the tongue, which is achieved by the fact that its upper foot is at a correspondingly greater distance from the needle rails and the needle therefore suffers less displacement than the other needles . In this case, the loop formation does not take place on the edge needle because it is not high enough to be able to grasp the yarn thread (FIG. 1 a). If the edge needle is to be caused to form loops, a wedge t on the upper foot leading the knot in one working direction (arrow I, FIG. 1) causes it to be pushed up further into the position of the remaining needles. The designated wedge t, which must protrude so high from the needle bed that it runs over the needle feet n l to get to the foot m 1 of the edge needle, exercises as a result of the foot of the latter, which must also be raised accordingly, as well as because of its lateral attack on the needle foot strong impacts on the marginal needle. In order to reduce the harmfulness of these impacts, the peripheral needle has therefore been connected to a special guide plate m a so that it runs with its double shaft mm 3 thus produced in two guide grooves in the needle bed. This double guide makes the needle, which has to be soldered together from individual parts, very expensive, but without being able to give it the necessary durability. As a result, needle breakage often occurs, which leads to faulty goods and malfunctions in the machine.
Zweck vorliegender Erfindung ist nun eine Vorrichtung, welche die Anwendung einerThe purpose of the present invention is now a device which the application of a
Ordinary, executed exactly like the other needles, so in only one guide groove The edge needle running along the needle bed while avoiding the lateral pressure exerted on the needle Allows impacts of the auxiliary drive part.
An embodiment of this device is shown in Fig. 2 and 2a of the drawing in plan, in Fig. 3 in the side view and in Fig. 4 in the front view; It consists essentially of two levers / and g arranged on the Rösselkastenmitnehmer b and therefore constantly participating in its back and forth movement, of which one / is loosely mounted on a rotatable shaft e, the other g is fixedly attached, the former being mounted on one Nose h of the latter rests. With the exception of the edge needle m , all needles η have two working feet n 1 and n 2 , while the edge needle is only provided with a lower working foot m 1 (FIGS. 2 and 3). The above-mentioned lever g is obtained by means of a spring (FIG. 4) in such a position that it can run away with its lower end behind the lower needle feet, that is to say also behind that of the peripheral needle (FIG. 3). When the needles η are pushed up by means of the rail s , the edge needle remains in its lower position because it lacks the upper foot required as an attack for this rail (FIG. 2 a); in this case, only the needles n, the return movement of which is effected by the knurl r engaging the needles at the lower foot, would form stitches, namely in the direction of movement of the knot from left to right. The stitch formation on the edge needle m is caused in the direction of movement of the knight from right to left (Fig. 4) by the lever f leading to the knot at the appropriate time under a run-up piece i and when passing it is pressed downwards in such a way that it forces the lever g to perform an oscillating movement in the axial direction of the edge needle m , this grasping the foot in FIG. 1 and bringing the needle level with the other needles. Before the knot then reaches the edge needle in order to move it downwards again, the pair of levers fg has left the area of the run-up piece i and has been brought back into the initial position (FIG. 3) by the action of the spring /. When the knot is reversed (right-hand movement), the lever f reaches the upper side of the ramp piece i and, since it is loosely attached to the shaft e, is lifted so that it cannot exert any influence on the lever g. Accordingly, in the latter case, the edge needle stops working again, and a loop is thus only formed in every second row of the edge needle in the manner described.
Because the ejector lever g exerts its effect in the axial direction of the edge needle, the latter is not exposed to any greater stress than any other needles, in particular the lateral impacts otherwise caused by the ejector are avoided, which is why the double guidance of the edge needle previously required is no longer required.
