Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Buchlagerung an Schreibmaschinen mit in der Höhe einstellbaren Buchlagern von jener Art, bei der beim Senken der einen Lagerung infolge des Gewichtes des Buchteils die andere Platte sich zwangläufig einstellt. Die Erfindung kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß die beiden Buchlager, durch obere und untere Hebel parallel geführt, in senkrechter Richtung zur Schlittenbahn schwingbar vom Schlitten getragen werden und miteinander durch einen zwischen ihnen schwingbar am Schlitten gelagerten Hebel wagebalkenartig verbunden sind, so daß die zwangläufige Einstellung derart ist, daß'beim Senken der einen Buchlagerplatte die andere sich um das entsprechende Stück hebt und die beiden obersten Buchseiten stets in der gleichen Ebene bleiben.
