Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Entfernen des Kesselsteines von den Wandungen eines Dampfkessels und besteht in der Verwendung thermo-elektrischer Säulen, bei denen Blei das positive und Eisen das negative Metall bildet. Diese Säulen wirken auf die Wandungen des Kessels und der Kesselröhren ein und entfernen den Kesselstein oder verhüten dessen Ansetzen.The invention relates to a device for removing the scale from the Walls of a steam boiler and consists in the use of thermo-electric columns, where lead is the positive metal and iron is the negative metal. Ein Einzelelement dieser thermo-elektrischen Reihe besteht aus zwei übereinander gelegten Platten α und b von beliebiger Dicke, von denen die eine α aus Blei und die andere b aus Eisen besteht. Letztere ist auf einer Fläche, mit welcher sie auf die Bleiplatte gelegt wird, verzinnt, um eine vollkommene Berührung zwischen den beiden Platten zu erreichen, welche untereinander verlötet oder vernietet werden. Die Platten α und b sind mit Ösen c und d versehen, welche an gegenüberliegenden Kanten eines jeden Elementes angeordnet sind. Mittels dieser Ösen werden die Platten durch elektrische Leitungsdrähte, die, mit Ausnahme an ihrer Befestigungsstelle, verzinnt sein können, untereinander verbunden in der Weise, daß die Bleiplatte eines Elementes an die Eisenplatte des nächstfolgenden angeschlossen ist usf. Die so aneinander geschlossenen Platten werden in den Innenraum des Kessels, dessen Kesselstein entfernt werden soll, derart eingelegt, daß die Bleiplatten die Kesselwandung berühren. Die Anzahl der aneinander geschlossenen Elemente richtet sich nach der Größe des Kessels und nach der Dicke des angesetzten Kesselsteines. Die Platten, von denen die Bleiplatte den positiven Pol und die Eisenplatte den negativen Pol darstellt, bilden infolge der durch das erhitzte Kesselwasser erreichten hohen Temperatur und infolge der Zusammensetzung des Kesselwassers einen fortdauernden elektrischen Strom, der sich auf die Kesselwandung überträgt. Hier wirkt er auf den Kesselstein, welchen er von der Kessel wandung löst und derart zerteilt, daß die einzelnen Teile vom Kesselwasser in der Schwebe und von den Wandungen des Kessels entfernt gehalten werden. Auch könnten diese Platten zur Vermeidung jeglichen Absetzens der im Wasser enthaltenen Unreinigkeiten an den Kesselwandungen in Wirkung treten. Wenn die thermo-elektrischen Platten mit Kesselröhren verbunden werden sollen, müssen sie gewölbt sein, um sich der Form der Röhren anzuschließen und die positive Bleiplatte mit ihrer ganzen Fläche in Berührung mit der Rohrwandung zu bringen.A single element of this thermo-electric series consists of two superimposed plates α and b of any thickness, of which one α is made of lead and the other b is made of iron.
