Gegenstand des Patentes .....(Patentanmeldung F 49 010 IVc/22
a)
sind basische Azofarbstoffe, die frei von Sulfonsäure- und
Carbon-
säuregruppen sind und die allgemeine Formel (I)
besitzen, worin Y ein. Halogenatom, eine Trifluormethyl-, Nitro-,
Alkylsulfon-, ärylsulfon-, Cyan-, Carbonsäureester-, gegebenen-
falls substituierte Sulfonsäureamid-, gegebenenfalls substituierte
Carbonsäureamid- oder eine Acylgruppe, Z Wasserstoff oder einen
.nicht wasserlöslichmachenden Substituenten, R4 Wasserstoff,
einen
gegebenenfalls substituierten Alkyl- oder Arylrest, einen Cyclo-
alkyl- oder einen Aralkylrest, R5 Wasserstoff, einen gegebenen-
-
falls substituierten Alkylrest, einen Cycloalkyl- oder einen
Arali@ylrest, oder R4 und 85 zusammen mit dem N -Atom einen
heterocyclischen Rest, A einen Phenylen- oder Kaphthylenrest,
R1, R2 und R3 gegebenenfalls substituierte niedere Algylgruppen
und g ein Anion bedeuten und die Triallqplammoniumgruppe in
m-
oder p=Stellung zur Azobrücke stehtyund Verfahren zu ihrer
Her-
stellung, indem man a) die Diazoniumverbindung eines quartären
Amins der allgemeinen Formel (II)
worin. Y, Z, R1, R2, R3 und % die oben angegebene Bedeutung
besitzen, mit Azokomponenten der Formel (III)
worin A, R4 und R5 die oben angegebene Bedeutung besitzen,
kuppelt
oder daB man b) einen Azöfarbstoff der allgemeinen Formel
(IV)
worin Y' Z, 1111) R2, R4, R5 und A die oben angegebene
Bedeutung
besitzen, mit quaternierenden Mitteln behandelt.
Die verfahrensgemäß erhältlichen Farbstoffe eignen sich zum.
Färben oder Bedrucken von tannierten Gellulosefasern, Seide,
Leder oder vollsynthetischen Fasern, wia Acetatseide. Polyanicl-
fasern oder sauer modifizierten Polyesterfasern, insbesondere
jedoch von Polyacrylnitril oder Polyvinylidencyanid enthaltenden
Fasern in licht- und nassechten Tönen.
'-i Weiterverfolgung dieses Erfindungsgedankens wurde nun gefunden
daß basische Azofarbstoffe, die frei von Sulfonsäure-
und Carbon-
säuregruppen sind =d die allgemeine Formel (Y-7)
besitzen, worin 1 3rlasserstoff, ein Halogenatom, eine Alkyl-,
Alkoxy-, Tri_@-luormethrl-, Nitro-, Alkylsulfon-, Arylsulfon-,
tGyan-, Carboasäureester#-, gegebenenfalls substituierte Sulfon-
säureamid-, gegebenenfalls substituierte Garbonsäureamid- oder
eine Acylgruppe, Z Wasserstoff oder einen nicht Wasserlöslich-
machenden Substituenten, R4 Wasserstoff, einen gegebenenfalls
substituierten.l- oder Arylrest, einen Cycloalkyl- oder
einen. Aralkyylrest, R5 Wasserstoff, einen gegebenenfalls
substituierten lrest, einen Cycloalkrl- oder elen Aralkyl-
last, oder R4 und R5 zusammen mit dem. N-Atom einen heterocycliachen
.Rest, A einen fhenylen- oder Naphthylenrest,läm, --'
gegebenenfalls substituierte niedere Alkylgruppen und;.

Anion bedeuten, ebenfalls wertvolle Eigenschaften. be-Sitzen.
Die neuen Farbstoffe können i n der Weise erhalten werden,
daß
man a) die Diazoniumverbindung eines guartären Amins der allge-
meiner. Formel (V1"
worin. Y, Z, R1, -n22 11 3 und die oben
angegebene Bedeuttang
besitzen., mit Azokomponenten der Formel (
worin. A, R4 und R5 die oben angegebene Bedeutung besitzen,
kuppelt oder daß man b) einen Azofarbstoff der allgemeinen
Formel (:'VIII) .
worin Y, Z, R1, R2, 449 R5 und A die oben angegebene Bedeutung
besitzen, mit quaternierenden Mitteln behandelt.
Die Verfahrensweise a) ist besonders zweckmäßig und allgemein.
anwendbar.'Die hierfür verwendeten quartären Amine der Formel
(YI:)`können durch Quaternierung von Aminen der Formel
und anschließende Abspaltung der Acylgruppe nach Jiblichen-
Hethodene beispielsweise mittels anorganischen Säuren, erhalten
werden.
Als quaternierende Mittel kommen Alkylhalogenide, AralkWlhalogen$ü
Halogenacetanide, B-Halogenpropionitrile, Halogenhydrine,
Alkyl-
ester der-Schwefelsäure oder Alkylester oAuo.ischer
Sulfonsäuren
in Betracht, Geeignete quaternierende Mittel sind beispielsweise
Methylchlorid, -bromid oder -jodid, Äthylbromid oder -jodid,
Propylbromid oder -jodid, Benzylchlorid, Dinethylsulfat,
Diäthyl-
sulfat, Benzolsulfonsäuremethylester, p-Toluolsulfonsäuremeth~y1-,
-äthyl-, -propyl- oder -butylester. Die Quaternierung erfolgt
in
Wasser *Köder in einem indifferenten organischen Lösungsmittel,
beispielsweise in einem Kohlenwasserstoff, Chlorkohlenwasserstoff
Oder Nitrokohlenwasserstoff, wie Benzol, Toluol, Zylol,
Tetra-
chloräthan, Chloroform, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Mono- oder
Dichlor#-
benzol oder Nitrobenzol, in einem Säureamid oder Säureanhydrid,
wie Dinethylformamid, N-Methylacetamid oder E:cäigsäureanbydrid,
in Dimethylsulfoxyd oder in einen Keton, wie Aceton oder
Methyläthyiketon. Anstelle eines organischen Lösungsmittels
kann auch ein Überschuss des quaternierenden Mittels ver-
wendet werden. Die Quaternierung wird bei erhöhter Temperatur,
gegebenenfalls unter Druck, vorgenommen. Die jeweils günstigsten
Bedingungen lassen sich durch einen Vorversuch leicht ermitteln.
Geeignete Verbindungen der Formel 19._ sind 1-Acylamino-2-NN-di*lly7
aminobenzole, die ist Benzolkern keine weiteren Substituenten
oder die Substituenten Y und Z enthalten können, wobei.Y
ein
Halogenatom, eine Trifluormethyl-, Nitro-, Alkylsulfon-,
Arylsulfon-, Cyan-, Carbonsäureester-, gegebenenfalls substituierte
Sulfonsäureamid-, gegebenenfalls substituierte Garbonsäureamid-
oder eine Acjrlgruppe und Z ein Halogenatom, eine Alkyl-,
Alkoxy-,
Alkylsulfon-, Arylsulfon-, Sulfamyl-, Carbamyl-, Aryl-,
Aryloxy-,
Acylamino-, Carbalkoxy-, Trifluormethyl-, Cyan- oder Acylgruppe
sein können.
Die Diazotierung der Amine der Formel il:.
erfolgt nach au sich
bekannten Methoden, beispielsweise mittels Salzsäure und
Natriua-
nitrit.
Die Kupplung mit den Azokomponenten der Formel wird in an
sich bekannter Weise, beispielsweise in neutralem oder saurem
Medium, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Puffersubstanzen
oder
die Kupplung beschleunigenden Mitteln, wie Pyridin, vorgenommen.
Als Azokomponenten der Formel VJT kommen erfindungsgemäß
in o-.
oder p-Stellung zu einer primären, sekundären oder tertiären
Amin.ogruppe kuppelnde Benzol- oder Naphthalinverbindungen
in
Betracht. Als primäre Amine sind beispielsweise Anilin,
Tolui-
dine, %ylidine, Anisidiaie, Phenylendiamine, Toluylendiamine,
Aminokresoläther, Alkozyaniline, Chloranilin, 3-Acylaminoanilinet
Dialkoxyaniline oder Naphthylamine geeignet. Als sekundäre
oder
tertiäre Amine kommen Verbindungen in Betracht, die in der
Aaina#.
gruppe als Substituenten niedere Alkylreste, wie
Methyl-, Ätbyl..t
Propyl- oder Butylreste, Arall:,yl--, Cycloalkyl- oder Arylreste
enthalten, die gegebenenfalls noch weitere Substituenten; wie
Halogenatome, Hydroxy-, Cyan-, Carbalkoxy-, Carbamyl-, Acyloxy-,
Phenyl--, Alkoxy-, Phenoxy- oder Dialkylaminogruppen enthalten
können. In. den tertiären Aminen können R4 und R5 gegebenenfalls
auch unter sich oder zusammen--mit einem weiteren Stickstoffatom
oder einem Sauerstoffatom hydrierte Heteroringe, wie den Piperir-
din-, Morpholin- oder Piperasinring, bilden. Der Benzol- oder
Naphthalinrest A kann ferner weitere Substituenten,
wie Halogen-
atome, Alkyl-, Alkoxy-, Carbalkozy-, Alkylsulfon-, Cyan- oder
Acylaminogruppen enthalten.
Die für die Verfahrensweise b) verwendeten Azofarbstoffe der
Formel YIII können nach an sich bekannten Methoden hergestellt
werden, beispielsweise durch Kupplung der dianotierten Amine
der Formel g
mit A$okomponenten der Formel YII oder durch alkalische
Konden-
sation der Änine der Formel Z mit den entsprechenden
p#Nitroso-
verbindungen von tertiären Aminen der Benzol- oder Naphthalinreil
Die erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen Farbstoffe enthalten als
Anion g vorzugsweise den Rest einer starken Säure, beispiels-
weise der Schwefelsäure oder deren Halbester, einer Krylsulfon-
säure oder einer Halogenwasserstoffsäure. Diese verfahrens-
gemäß eingefßihrten Anionen können auch durch Anionenzanderer
Säuren, beispielsweise der Phosphorsäure, Essigsäure, Oxal-
säure, Milchsäure oder Weinsäure ersetzt werden. Die Farbstoffe
können ferner in Form i@:rer Doppelsalse mit Zink- oder
Gadmium#-
halogeniden gewonnen werden.
Die neuen Farbstoffe eignen sich zum Färben oder Bedrucken
von
tannierten Gellulosefasern, Seide, Leder oder vollsynthetischen
Fasern, -wie Acetatseide, Polyaniäfasern oder sauer modifizierten
Polyesterfasern, insbesondere jedoch von Polyacrylnitril oder
Poly*inylidencyar:.id enthaltenden Fasern. Die auf diesen Fasern
erhältliclE@.-':@rbungen sind meist sehr klar sowie farbstark
yt_:: ir°@ allgemeinen gute Licht und Naßechtheiten.

Ein. Gemisch au$ 3,75 Gewichtsteilen 1-Amino-2-acetylaminobenzol,
25 Gewichtsteilen Wasser und 2 Gewichtsteilen Magnesiumozyd
wird
unter Rühren bei 50 - 6090 mit 12,6 Gewichtsteilen Dimethylsul-
fat versetzt) 1 Stunde bei dieser Temperatur gerührt,ekühlt
und
filtriert. Das Filtrat wird mit 9 Gewichtsteilen 95%iger
Schweifel#
säure versetzt, 1 Stunde gekocht und die Lösung des 2-Amino-
phenyl-trimethylammenium-methylsulfatsauf 0 - 50C abgekühlt.
Dann. wird mit 5 Volumenteilen 5n-Natriumnitritlösung dianotiert,
30 Minuten gerührt, der NitritüberschuB mit Amidosulfosäure
zerstört und die Diazolösung. mit gieselgur geklärt. Die so
erhaltene. Diazolösung wird mit 3,9 Gewichtsteilen 3-Chlor--N,N#-
dimetlylanilin versetzt und 2 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt.
Dann wird mit Natriumsulfat-gesalzen, der Farbstoff der
Formel
abgesaugt, mit 14%iger Natriumsulfatlösung gewaschen
und
getrocknet. Man erhält 8 Gewichtsteile einen Farbstoffs,
der sich
in Wasser und verdünnter Essigsäure mit gelborangen Farbe leicht
löst.
4 g Farbstoff werden mit 12 ccm 50%iger Essigsäure verrührt
und durch Übergießen mit 200 ccm heißem Wasser gelöst.
Die
Lösung wird in einen Kreuzspulfärbeapparat eingetragen, der
mit 6 Liter Wasser, 5 g kristallinem Natriumacetat und 50 g
kalziniertem Natriumsulfat beschickt ist. Dann wird eine Kreuz-
spule mit 400 g Polyacry'lnitrilgarn eingelebt und bei. wechseln-
der Flottenzirkulation unter langsamer Temperatursteigerung
gefärbt. Ab 850C wird die Färbetemperatur nur langsam auf
106 - 108°C gesteigert und 45 Minuten beibehalten, Danach ist
das Färbebad klar ausgezogen. Dann wird auf 'etwa'?0°C
abgekühlt
und die Färbamg wie üblich fertiggestellt. Man erhält
eine klare.
Goldgelbfärbung mit sehr guten. Licht- und Naßechtheiten.
Beispiel
2
Ein Gemisch aus 4,6 Gewichtsteilen 1-Amiao-2--ac®tylamin.o-5-
chlorbenzol, 25 Gewichtsteilen Wasser und 2 Gewichtsteilen
Magnesiunoryd wird unter Rühren bei 50 - 6000 mit
12,6
Gewichtsteilen Dimethylsulfat versetzt, 1 Stunde bei dieser
Temperatur gerührt, abgekühlt und filtriert. Das Filtrat
wird mit 20 Volumenteilen konzentrierter Salzsäure versetzt,
1 Stunde gekocht und die Lösung des 5-Chl.or-2-amJnophenyl-
trianethylamm@nium..metbylsulfats auf 0 -
50C abgekühlt. Dann
wird mit !* Volumenteilen 5n-Natriumnitritläsung diazotiert,
30 Minuten gerührt, der NitritüberschuB mit Amidosulfosäure
zerat®rt und die Diasolösung mit Kieselgur geklärt.
Die so
erhaltene Diasolösung wird mit 4,'7 Gewichtsteilen 3-Methyl-N---
tb71-0--8-cyasäthylanilin versetzt, 2 Stunden bei. Rauntemperatur
"e,-Ührt und durch Zugabe von 5 Volumenteilen 70%iger
Chlorzink-
lwe das Chlorzinkdoppelsalz des Farbstoffes der Formel
abgesoh.eden. Esi;r.,bgeaaugt, mit 10%dger Natriuschlorid-
lösung gewaschen und getrocknet. Man erhält 9 Gewichtsteile
eis Parbstoffs, der sich mit gelooranger -Farbe leicht
in
Wasser und verdünnter Essigsäure löst.
1. g Farbstoff wird mit 2,5 g 5eiger Essigsäure angerührt
und in 6 Liter Wasser gelöst. Dem Färbebad werden noch 1 g
kristallines Natztimaacetat und 10 g kalziniertes Natriumsulfat
zugesetzt. Dann ;geht man mit 100 g vorgewaschenem Garn aus
Poly-
acrylnitrilstapolfaser in das 600C warme .Färbebad ein, erhöht
die Temperatur langsam .auf 100°C und färbt 1 Stunde
bei Koch-
temperatur. Anschließend läßt man langsam auf 7000 abkühlen,
spült und trocknet. Man. erhält eine klare Orangefärbung mit
guten Licht- und NaBechtheiten.
Die nachstehende Tabelle enthält weitere-erfindungsgemäB
erhältliche Farbstoffe, deren Kation die allgemeine: Formel
besitzt,
sowie die Farbtöne der Färbungen auf Polyacrylnitrilfaser:
