Im Gegensatz zu den bisherigen massiv stählernen oder aus weichem Gufseisen mit eingesetzten Stahlmessern bestehenden Riffelwalzen bezweckt vorliegende Construction, die Anordnung einer Schrotwalze so zu treffen, dafs sie wohl behufs Selbstschärfung aus weichem und hartem Material combinirt wird, jedoch jederzeit durch einen Sachkundigen mit wenig Mühe aus einander genommen und in ihre einzelnen Theile zerlegt werden kann, so dafs es möglich ist, auf die Weise stets etwaige schadhafte Stellen, namentlich Messer, entfernen und durch neue ersetzen zu können.
