Es ist bei Maschinen, insbesondere bei landwirtschaftlichen, bekannt, die Riemscheiben beim Abwerfen des Riemens durch einen von einem Gewichtshebel beeinflußten Bremsklotz zu bremsen. Hierbei wird jedoch der Bremsklotz von der umlaufenden Riemscheibe sprungweise zurückgeworfen, so daß die Bremswirkung nur sehr langsam eintritt.
