So bewährten
Zur Abkürzung@der Glühzeiten sind Glühungen bei höheren Sauerstoff-Partial-druckenvorteilhaft;
bei Gasmischungen (Luft).Because of the high resistance to oxidation of platinum and platinum alloys, the path to Dsperstonshardening seemed to lead to these base materials only via the mixed process or via simultaneous precipitation of platinum and carbides or oxides , 5; and 1.0% by weight of titanium or zirconium, that after several hours of G-treatments at 1,000 ° G in air practically - only - in the near-surface grain boundaries, oxide particles were formed like a string, an internal oxidation seemed impossible and is also impossible Literature not known; It has now been surprisingly found that, for example, in platinum with 1% by weight of zirconium and in ternary alloys, for example on the basis of Pt / 10% by weight Rh / 1% by weight Zr, due to an assumed low volume Diffusion of the oxygen - as long as the oxygen does not primarily diffuse through the grain boundaries into the alloy - a slow internal oxidation during annealing is possible, preferably between 800 and 1200C, which is associated with dispersion hardening if very long annealing times of more than 20 hours to be applied. Corresponding effects also occur with platinum alloys with 0-affine elements such as beryllium, titanium, hafnium, tantalum, thorium and others. whose oxides are not volatile. They can be alloyed individually or next to each other: The oxide particles that formed in the grain during the internal oxidation were of the size Z -_l / µm during annealing at 850 or 1 0000C. The annealing times were in the range of 50 to 500 hours, depending on the sheet thickness . Micro hardness values AV 0.015 - 145 - 200 for the Pt / LoRhllzr alloy and of 80 - 120 for Pt / l wt% Zr were achieved and thus the hardness values of Zr-free and not internally oxidized commercially available sheets were significantly exceeded. As with other dispersion-hardened alloys, the hardening effect of platinum or corresponding platinum alloys, in addition to rhodium, also with iridium and palladium and other alloying elements with a lower 0-affinity than the above-mentioned oxide formers, which are incorporated into the crystal lattice with the formation of mixed crystals, remains unchanged get higher usage temperatures and long operating times. Zr-containing platinum or platinum-thodium-zirconium alloys have proven particularly useful as starting materials for the manufacture of glass spinnerets. After shaping, these glass spinnerets were subjected to internal oxidation annealing to improve their creep strength. Due to the simultaneous blocking of the grain boundaries by zirconocide, the high temperature strength was - beneficially influenced. The area of application of internally oxidized platinum alloys also extends to crucibles, laboratory equipment and semi-finished products for use at high temperatures: The effect described is achieved with zirconium contents of ( ?, 1 to 4% by weight, preferably 0.5 to 2% by weight or 0.8 to 1.5 % by weight. To shorten the annealing times, annealing at higher oxygen partial pressures is advantageous; Annealing results in a range of 0.1 to 10 ata 02 partial pressure for gas mixtures (air).
