Lautsprecheranordnung zur Beschallung grösserer flächen Loudspeaker arrangement for covering larger areas n
Sie Aufgabe, eine grosse Fläche durch Lautsprecher mit Musik oder Sprache zu beschallen, wie sie z.B· für Massenversammlungen auf freien Plätzen oder in grossen Hallen auftritt, hat-man bisher entweder dadurch gelöst, dass auf die Fläche eine Yielzahl von Lautsprechern verteilt wurde oder dass ein oder mehrere Grosslaut Sprecher an einer Stelle aufgestellt wurden» Die zuerst erwähnte Lösung hat den Nachteil, dass man eines grossen Aufwandes bedarf, da es sich nicht nur um die ■Aufstellung der vielen Lautsprecher handelt, sondern ausserdem um das Stromversorgungsnetz für diese Lautsprecher, das im allgemeinen unterirdisch verlegt werden muss» Dabei tritt dann noch die Schwierigkeit auf, dass dafür gesorgt werden muss, dass jeder Hörer nur von einem einzigen Lautsprecher / versorgt wird. Die an zweiter Stelle genannte Lösung erfordert Grosslautsprecher, die an sich schon den Nachteil haben, dass sie nur in kleinen Stückzahlen, also unwirtschaftlich, hergestellt werden. Ausserdem haben solche Anlagenden erheblichen lachteil, dass die unmittelbar vor dem Lautsprecher befindlichen Personen zu stark und die am weitesten entfernt befindlichen Personen zu schwach mit Schall versehen werden. Wirkungsgradmässig ist es ungünstig, ö&ass solche Grosslautspreeher den ganzen Raum erfüllen, also keine wesentliche Konzentration auf die allein interessierende Ebene, in der sich die Zuhörer befinden, stattfindet« Schliesslich ist auch noch die Frequenzverteilung über das Feld sehr unbefriedigend, da durch die Kolbenwirkung der grossen Membranen die hohen Frequenzen stark in die Achsrichtung des LautSprechers hineingebündelt werden, so dass die in der Achsrichtung befindlichen Zuhörer sehr viel stärker mit- hohen Frequenzen versorgt werden als die von der Achse des Lautsprechers mehr entfernten Personen:);The task of filling a large area with music or speech through loudspeakers, as occurs e.g. for mass gatherings in open spaces or in large halls, has so far been solved either by distributing a large number of loudspeakers over the area or by one or more loudspeakers were set up at one point »The first-mentioned solution has the disadvantage that it requires a great deal of effort, since it is not only about the ■ setting up of the many loudspeakers, but also the power supply network for these loudspeakers, the generally has to be laid underground »The difficulty then arises that it has to be ensured that each listener is only supplied by a single loudspeaker /. The solution mentioned in the second place requires large loudspeakers, which in themselves have the disadvantage that they are only produced in small numbers, that is, uneconomically. In addition, such system users have a considerable disadvantage that the people immediately in front of the loudspeaker are provided with too much sound and those furthest away with too little sound. In terms of efficiency, it is unfavorable if such large loudspeakers fill the entire room, so there is no significant concentration on the level of interest alone, in which the listeners are located membranes, the high frequencies are strongly hineingebündelt in the axial direction of the L a utSprechers so that the listener located in the axis direction is provided much more medium-high frequencies as the persons more remote from the axis of the loudspeaker :);

All these disadvantages are eliminated according to the fire in that a group of loudspeaker systems arranged one above the other and equipped with a conical membrane is used · '; · ■
lan sollte zunächst erwarten, dass die Bündelungseigenschaften einer solchen Gruppe bei Verwendung eines so breiten Frequenzbandes, wie es von einem Lautsprecher bei Husik- unfi Sprachdarbietungen wiedergegeben wird, äusserst ungünstig ausfallen, da die hohen Frequenzen bekanntlich sehr viel schärfer als die tiefen gebündelt werden» Man hatte also mit sehr starken Verzerrungen bei der Wiedergabe zu rechnen, die den lachmann bisher davor zurückhielten, solche LautSprechergruppen in Betracht zu ziehen* Zwar war für Nebelhörner eine Gruppenbildung von übereinander angeordneten Hörnern schon bekannt· Bei dieser Anlage handelt es sich aber um die Aüssendung von im wesentlichen einer einzigen tonhöhe und nicht eines Tonspektrums, so dass für die Nebelhorn-Anlage das vorerwähnte Vorurteil nicht vorlag·Lan should initially expect that the bundling properties of such a group will be extremely unfavorable when using a frequency band as broad as that reproduced by a loudspeaker in Husik and speech presentations, since the high frequencies are known to be bundled much more sharply than the low "Man had therefore to be expected with very strong distortion during playback, which the lachmann been previously withheld to draw such loudspeaker groups into consideration * Although for fog horns to form groups of stacked horns already known · B but was ei this system is the Aüssendung of essentially a single pitch and not a sound spectrum, so that the aforementioned prejudice did not apply to the foghorn system.
Man braucht nämlich nur den äusseren Systemen der Gruppe die höheren Frequenzen vorzuenthalten, sie also nur mit tiefen Frequenzen zu speisen, um mit Sicherheit eine schäfiliche Bevorzugung der höheren Frequenzen bei der Bündelung zu verhindern»Tests and more detailed considerations have now shown that too for the reproduction of a wide frequency band, which includes the audio frequency range, the mentioned group formation with Advantage can be used. Already on manufacturing variations normal deviations in the frequency response of the individual loudspeakers of the same type - especially with regard to of high frequencies - from each other are enough to make a harmful one Differences in terms of the bundling properties of the different frequencies to prevent. In addition, remedy can be created according to the innovation in that the individual loudspeakers in the group with different frequency ranges the supplied low-frequency currents are fed. You only need the external systems of the group to withhold higher frequencies, so only with lower ones To feed frequencies to a safe sheepish preference to prevent the higher frequencies in the bundling »
Ausser dem Vorteil des geringenhas been found to be an excellent supply large areas with sound thanks to the new loudspeaker group is possible. Except for the advantage of the small
Effort compared to the systems with over the area of the audience distributed speakers results in opposite to the known systems with centralized large loudspeakers the advantage that in every point of the area approximately the same Volume is present with a good distribution of the various frequencies. Also in the from the axis of the loudspeaker group distant peripheral areas are still sufficiently high Frequencies available, because there are no significant frequencies in the horizontal plane due to the small size of the individual loudspeaker systems Bundling takes place «If such a disturbance should still occur, it can be done through mutual twisting the «individual loudspeakers in the group around the common vertical axis be remedied.
Another advantage of the ... innovation according to the arrangement in the fact that the deep 3yons are better than by themselves operated. Speakers are radiated · For each speaker is caused by the pressure wave of the low frequencies which is radiated to the mowable loudspeaker without any significant calibration effect increases the hardness of the sound and thus improves the adaptation to the airspace * '
Das bedeutet einen unerwünschten Anstieg der Frequenzkurve bei hohen Frequenzen in der Hauptstrahlrichtung und gleichzeitig einen starken Abfall in allenApart from the fog horns already mentioned, it is from the literature Another proposal is known, according to which the use of 4 arranged one above the other for the reproduction of musical performances Horn speakers is recommended. A usable reproduction of the entire ion frequency spectrum, as it is in the sense of the Ifeiierungj is striven for cannot be achieved with such an arrangement. With a horn loudspeaker, all frequencies are over the entire opening area of the horn with an approximately uniform Amplitude emitted. The bundling properties of a horn consisting of several horns arranged close together Group then - as already mentioned at the beginning - fall very unfavorably off because the high frequencies are very strong; bundled and therefore essentially perpendicular to the line connecting the loudspeakers be emitted. This means an undesirable increase in the frequency curve at high frequencies in the main beam direction and at the same time a sharp drop in all
; ■■■■ ■ ■■ ; .-4-■;■.■■ ;.... , ■ davon abweichenden Bichtungeiu Für die Abstrahlung der tiefen * Frequenzen ist ausserdem eine Wirkungsgradverbesserung nicht zu erzielen, da bei einem Horn infolge der Drucktransformation bereits eine richtige Anpassung an den Luftwiderstand bis zur unteren Grenzfrequenz erzielt ist· Die untere Grenzfrequenz ihrerseits ist. festgelegt durch die-geometrischen Abmessungen der öffnungen der Hörner und ist daher aus mechanischen Gründen begrenzt;; ■■■■ ■ ■■; .-4- ■; ■. ■■; ...., ■ different directions for the radiation of the deep * Frequencies, an improvement in efficiency cannot be achieved, since in the case of a horn it is due to the pressure transformation already a correct adaptation to the air resistance up to lower cut-off frequency is achieved · The lower cut-off frequency in turn is. determined by the geometric dimensions the openings of the horns and is therefore limited for mechanical reasons;
The loudspeaker arrangement according to the innovation distinguishes from this known by the use. of cone speakers. In the case of Kings loudspeakers, the high frequencies are essentially only emitted from the innermost part of the membrane «With several Ebnus loudspeakers arranged close together one therefore obtains for the high frequencies a strongly desiccated one Diagram and thus avoids extremely sharp bundling. precisely this frequency range
Nur ein geringer Seil des Schalles gelangt an die reflektierenden Flächen; insbesondere wird der Schall von der Decke ferngehalten*% bundled the sound frequency band in the horizontal plane the arrangement according to the innovation is particularly suitable for sounding reverberant trees. Only a small rope of the Sound reaches the reflecting surfaces; in particular the sound is kept away from the ceiling *
When using the innovation for sounding reverberant rooms, there is a dimensioning rule for the loud speaker group, which has proven to be particularly advantageous.According to this, the geometric length of the group in meters should correspond to at least half the value of the ratio of the actual reverberation time to the optimal reverberation time. Here, under actual reverberation time that such understood EIT in which the Schalldruek generated by a Sehallwelle on 1/1000 of the initial pressure is decreased · The optimum reverberation time corresponds to the gevränschten reverberation time and can in an empirical formula as a function of Yolumens the expressed to be sonicated tree , "From this it can be seen that one can specify the optimal reverberation time for ^ * every room whose yolumen is known ·»
Die physikalische Wirkung der gemäss dieser Begel dimensionierten Lautsprechergruppe kann man sich e twa so vorstellen, dass dann durch die mit der Gruppe erzielte Bündelung des Schalles dasThe physical effect of the dimensioned according to this Begel Loudspeaker group can be imagined in such a way that then through the bundling of the sound achieved with the group that
direkte Schallfeld in der ganzen zu erfassenden Zuhörerfläche in seiner Intensität gegenüber dem diffusen Schallfeld hinreichend verstärkt wird, um störenden Nachhall zu verhindern.direct sound field in the entire audience area to be recorded sufficient in its intensity compared to the diffuse sound field is amplified to prevent annoying reverberation.
The number of loudspeakers required for a group results from the length of the group, assuming that the loudspeakers are arranged reasonably close to each other. For example, the three-meter group includes a requirement a normal 6 watt loudspeaker a total of 12 loudspeaker systems. Tests have shown that it is not it is absolutely necessary to occupy the group of given length densely with loud speaker systemeii.
In the case of the proposed loudspeaker group, there was another very remarkable effect * A single one As is known, the loudspeaker system has a double-ball ear characteristic :; in a plane laid through the axis thus an eighth characteristic. This directional ear characteristic in the horizontal plane is also retained in the loudspeaker group, however the minima are more pronounced than in a single one. Loudspeaker system »If the loudspeaker group is covered by a microphone set up in the same room, you can place this microphone in the dead tree of the sound field and thereby reduces the risk of acoustic feedback ;; Another type of decoupling is that of the microphone in the extension of the longitudinal extension of the group is placed »For example, the group is placed vertically above the microphone arranged ", in addition to the decoupling, the further one The advantage is that the sound comes exactly from the direction of the Eedneri experiments have shown that the audience often does not feel that she is not hearing the Eedner directly, but the loudspeaker group
To cover areas that are not too large with sound, it is advisable to move the loudspeaker group forward at a small angle to incline in such a way that the maximum of the sound radiation lies roughly in the sighting of the listener's surface It is advisable to attach the group so high that its foot point is above the listener's level · This results in a particularly even distribution of sound in the listener's area.
Ausführungsbeispiele der feuerung sind in den Abbildungen 1-3 der Zeichnung angegeben. Gemäss Abbildung 1 besteht die Gruppe aus sechs übereinander angeordneten Lautsprechern £b), die auf * einer gemeinsamen Schallwand (a) angeordnet sind. Eine.Seltenensieht dieser Anordnung zeigt Abb. 2* Dieser Abbildung ist eine Weiterbildung der Steuerung zu entnehmen. Dort sind nämlich mehrere Lautsprecher sy sterne nach hinfen durch ein Gehäuse (c) vollkommen abgeschirmt. Diese Lautsprecher systeme besitzen jedes für sich demnach keine Doppelkugel-Gharakteristik mehr, sondern annähernd eine Eugel-GharakteristikS Mit den übrigen Lautspreehersystemen zusammen erhält man dann insgesamt eine Eardioiden-Gharakteristik und erreicht damit eine bessere Beschallung des Baumes seitlich zur Haupts tr ahlrichtong;Examples of the firing system are shown in Figures 1-3 of the drawing. According to Figure 1, the group consists of six loudspeakers £ b) arranged one above the other, which are arranged on * a common baffle (a). A rare sight of this arrangement is shown in Fig. 2 * This illustration shows a further development of the control system. There several speakers sy sterne are completely shielded from the front by a housing (c). These loudspeaker systems therefore no longer have a double-ball characteristic, but more or less a Eugel characteristic. Together with the other loudspeaker systems, one then obtains an overall earioid characteristic and thus achieves better sound coverage of the tree at the side of the main beam;
The loudspeaker group is represented in this figure by a Point (P) shown # Two speakers sy stars are in this one Sketch arranged with their axes rotated against each other $ their main radiation directions are marked with (d) and (e)
If you want with the new loudspeaker group of one Create a point from a radiation, which can be desirable, for example, when the operator or the orchestra is in the center of the entire listener flat, so one arranges appropriately two groups of loudspeakers, the main beam directions of which are approximately perpendicular to one another * The two baffles can touching along a boundary line »like loudspeakers each one individually. Group can be at such a distance of be set against each other so that a loudspeaker from the other group can be placed between two loudspeakers in one group, which creates the possibility of a compact structure with narrow baffles *
-.:: die gleichen Bedingungen, wie sie an Hand derThe group proposal proposed for a loudspeaker transmission - * Order can "be made while maintaining the character is tik ^ ur die Use the recording of a sound process by arranging a microphone group accordingly. · By closing or * abstaining individual microphone systems one is able to determine the distance range within which one can record a sound intends to carry out. beschrieben worden sind, d.h. auch bei der Mikrophongruppe kann man eine gleichmässige Schallaufnahme von sämtlichen Punkten eines Flächengebietes · erzielen, für das die Mikrophongruppe eingesetzt ist*have been described, i.e. even with the microphone group you can get a uniform sound recording from all points of an area for which the microphone group is used *
When using such a microphone group in a closed • Tree results in the part of the gate that one as a result of the property the group also larger ensembles from a great distance can record without the reverberation of the tree having a disruptive effect «While maintaining the location of the microphone group can be switched off, e.g. * <short-circuiting individual Microphone systems, the character of the transmission designed more reverberant will!
Another part of the gate results when using a microphone group from the fact that you can do without the usual use of a special reverberation room in the studio. When applying A microphone group can use the broadcasting hall as a reverberation room at the same time. This still has the gate part that the sound character of the broadcast is basically retained despite the change in the reverberation of the tree
The previously common use of a separate reverberation room was due to the different room acoustic properties of this tree result in a fundamental change of the shipment.
The simple setting of different reverberation values through Switching individual microphone systems on or off according to the hiring allows a change during the transmission of a Broadcast, e.g. a piece of music} so, for example, a certain arias of an opera can be transmitted in a particularly echoing manner, without having to refer to the location of the singer or the orchestra and the micropion group changes must be made ^ the tree can also remain acoustically altered.
In summary it can be said that the use of a
