Will man den Behälter
Man kann also Kautschukringe sehr großer Toleranzen
The invention relates to a filling valve for liquid gas containers with a valve element which is movably arranged in a valve housing fastened in the container and which, when moved from its closed position, opens an inlet and a venting channel, one of which runs partially through the valve element and one of which is kept closed against this adjacent ring seal in the closed position. The invention is based on the object of creating a filling valve of the above type which consists of as few parts as possible, has a very simple structure and can be manufactured easily and cheaply, especially in large numbers. This task is achieved in that the filling valve is provided with another ring seal surrounding the valve member, which rests sealingly on the valve housing and the other channel runs through between the ring seal and the other, and that an annular part is arranged between the two ring seals, which in in the closed position of the valve bears sealingly against both ring seals, while in the open position it is lifted from at least one of the ring seals. The valve according to the invention offers the advantage that, despite its simple structure, it functions perfectly and, especially when manufactured in large numbers, requires low manufacturing costs. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing showing a schematic and exemplary embodiment of the invention. The housing of the valve is formed by a stamped sleeve 1, the wall thickness of which is essentially constant. The lower end of the sleeve 1 is bent inwards in order to form a base 2 which serves as a support for a helical spring 3 which presses a valve 4 into the closed position. The valve 4 is formed by the flange of a movable member 5, the lower end 6 of which is guided in an opening 7 in the base 2. The opening 7 has a round part which merges into two radial grooves 8 @ which allow the liquid gas to flow into the container. The upper part of the movable member 5 is provided with a longitudinal bore 9 which is connected to a transverse bore 10 above the valve 4. The upper end of the part 5 has circular grooves 11 which allow the attachment of a sleeve 12 which forms one piece with a hollow needle 14. The sleeve 12 is provided with corresponding grooves on the inner wall of its cylindrical part. The movable member is guided by a flange 14 in the housing 1. This flange 14 has a collar 28 which rests against a bead 15 which projects into the interior of the sleeve and which forms an axial bearing for the flange 14. The sleeve 12 is provided on its outside with a plurality of longitudinal grooves 16 which form a channel with a certain cross section through which gas can escape between the parts 12 and 14. It goes without saying that if there is play between the parts 12 and 14, the grooves or grooves 16 may be omitted under certain circumstances. Two ring seals 1'j and 18 are arranged between the flange 14 and the valve 4 and are held at a distance from one another by a ring 19. The valve 4 is pressed against the planach 14 by the spring 3, as already explained above. The housing 1 is provided with an opening 20 at the level of the ring 19. The sleeve-shaped housing has two further beads 21 and 22, of which one bead 21 is used to hold the ring seal 17 in its position, while the other bead forms a stop to limit the lower end position of the ring seal 18. Above the bead 15, which can of course also be replaced by projections of another type, the housing sleeve 1 widens slightly to merge at the top into a cylindrical part 23, the diameter of which in the original position is slightly larger than the diameter of the opening in the wall 24 of the Container in which the valve is installed. In contrast, the part of the sleeve 1 which is located below the bead 15 is slightly smaller in diameter than the opening. In this way, the prerequisites are created which make it possible to insert the housing into the container without difficulty and without deformations affecting the functionality of the valve. At its upper end, the housing sleeve 1 has a further inwardly directed bead 25 and an outwardly curved edge 26 which serves to hold a seal 27 which seals the valve housing and container perfectly against one another. The bead 25 forms a stop for a tool, with the aid of which the valve housing 1 can be pulled out of the opening in the wall if the valve is to be repaired or replaced. If you want to fill the container with liquid gas, you use a refill container which has a connecting piece, the end of which is closed by a rubber plate. This connecting piece is pushed over the hollow needle 13, which pierces the rubber plate. If you exert an axial force on the parts 12 and 5 with the connecting piece, these are counteracted. the force of the spring 3 shifts. The lower edge of the part 12 is supported against the upper surface of the ring seal 18 and pushes it downward until it comes to rest against the bead 22 of the housing sleeve 1. When further force is applied to the edge of the inner bore of the ring seal 18, since it is retained at the periphery, it is subjected to bending stress and the wall of its bore is spread apart from part 5, so that the transverse channel 10 is released. The displacement of the ring seal 18 also has the consequence that this - removed from the ring seal 17 and that a passage is formed which allows the residual gas still in the container to pass through the opening 20 between the ring seals 17 and 18 and to flow out through the grooves of the part 12 to the outside. The liquid gas with which the container is filled flows through the hollow needle 13, the bores 9 and 10, the space between the valve 4 and the lower part of the movable member 5 and finally through the grooves 8 into the container. If the connecting piece of the refill container is removed, the valve assumes its rest position shown in the drawing, in which it is held by the spring 3, again. The measuring and venting channels are closed. It may be mentioned that with the construction described, the width of the 'ring seal 17 can be smaller than the distance between the flange 1 [and the inner wall of the housing sleeve 1. The flexibility of the seal 17 is sufficient to ensure that the seal is in the closed position of the valve is deformed by the annular member 19 in such a way that it rests against the wall of the housing sleeve 1 in a perfectly sealing manner. So rubber rings can be used with very large tolerances without endangering the proper functioning of the valve. It is of course possible to vary the structure of the valve according to the invention within wide limits. For example, the hollow needle 13 can be omitted when working with a sewing-filling container whose connecting piece does not work with a closing plate made of elastic material which has to be pierced. It is easily possible to press the connecting piece against a displaceable part which does not carry a hollow needle. If the refill container is provided with a filling element which corresponds in shape and structure to the upper section of the movable part 5, this filling element can act directly on the ring seal 18 and the valve [to open the valve]. In such a case, the upper portion of the movable part 5 is unnecessary. In view of the fact that the valve housing can be produced from drawn sheet metal, a relatively thin wall thickness can be achieved very easily. This allows the manufacture of valves with a very small outer diameter. The latter is particularly advantageous when the valves are to be installed in the container with small dimensions, as is important in particular with certain types of lighters or with gas candles. Of course, the use of the above valves is not restricted to devices of the type indicated. Rather, the valve according to the invention can also be used for numerous other purposes. As a further application example, the installation in gas cookers or soldering torches should be mentioned here.
