PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
A B zusammengehalten.Fig. 1 and 2 show in cross-section and plan a complete cutting machine for all kinds of wood waste, which occur in pulp mills and wood grinding shops. This wood waste - branches, end pieces, splinters, peeling chips and the like. - are brought between the circular knives KK 1 (Fig. 3) of two mutually parallel shafts A and B , which move towards each other in the direction of arrows F and F 1. The shredded wood that has passed through the knife emerges from the machine again in the direction of arrow K 2. The shredded wood that is stuck between the circular knives is removed by the scrapers S and S 1. The knife rollers are driven at the same or different speeds by the flywheel pulleys I and II or I and III. The circular knives of the knife rollers A and B are held together in the end pieces CC 1 and DD 1 on the shafts AB .
seitlich abziehen und in gleicher Weise sowohl die Endstücke c und d als auch dieIf the circular knives are to be removed from the knife roller axles for sharpening or replacement, first remove the scrapers S and S 1 , release the bearings of the knife roller B and move them with the help of the worms w and W 1 , which are moved by toothed wheels, which are the bearings of these Grasp knife rollers in the direction of arrows f 3 and ^ 4 up to the end position of the bearing block of the machine. In this one can then pull off the end bearings e and C 1 laterally and in the same way both the end pieces c and d as well as the
Kreismesser.
Circular knife. 3 and 4 show, on an enlarged scale, the cutting knives K and K 1 , which pass one another in the direction of the arrows F and F 1.
diagonal in die Lücken L hinein verschoben. m η and Wi 1 U 1 etc. are the cutting edges of the circular knives, m ο and JM 1 O 1 are the backs of these tooth-like knives. The circular knives are attached to the axes α and b in such a way that they pass close together in pairs with the cutting sharpness m η and JW 1 M 1 , as can be seen from FIG. As can be seen from FIG. 4, the side-by-side cutting knife pairs have alternating thicknesses, specifically 10 and 15 mm. These different thicknesses of the circular knives cause the wood scraps cut vertically between CD and C 1 D 1 to tip over the thinner circular knives and fall through the larger gaps L in their shredded form. On the other hand, as a result of the changing knife thickness, the vertically cut pieces of wood are shifted diagonally into the gaps L.
