Gegenstand des Haupt-Patentes bildet ein Verfahren zum Mustern von Papierbahnen usw., bei welchem die auf die Druckfläche aufgetragene Farbe vor ihrer Berührung mit der Stoffbahn dem gewünschten Muster entsprechend teilweise wieder entfernt wird. Bei diesem Verfahren ergibt sich auf der Stoffbahn ein Muster, welches hellere Stellen im Grunde der Druckfarbe zeigt. Es entstehen also Musterflächen, welche lediglich verschiedene Töne derselben Farbe aufweisen.
