Zur Erhöhung der Nutzleistung der Zentrifugalpumpen verwendet man Leitschaufelkränze, welche das Flügelrad ringförmig umgeben. Dieselben haben die Aufgabe, den Wasserübertritt aus dem Flügelrad nach dem Druckraume der Pumpe möglichst stoßlos zu vermitteln. -To increase the useful power of the centrifugal pumps, guide vane rings are used, which surround the impeller in a ring. Hierdurch wird erreicht, daß die aus dem Leitrad tretenden Wasserstrahlen nicht an die Gehäusewand anprallen, sondern allmählig abgelenkt in spiralförmiger Bahn in den Druckraum und infolgedessen möglichst stoßlos übertreten.
