Bei dem in der Kleinbessemerei vorzunehmenden Umschmelzen des Roheisens im Kupolofen muß letzterer wegen der Überführung des Schmelzgutes in die Birne eine erhöhte Aufstellung erfahren. Ist nun mit der Erzeugung von Stahlguß auch die von Graueisenguß im Werke verknüpft und will man dem Kupolofen auch für letzteren zu verwendendes Eisen entnehmen, so ist dies ίο mit Schwierigkeiten verschiedener Art verbunden. Diese zu beseitigen ist der Zweck der vorliegenden Neuerung. Dieselbe besteht darin, daß der Kupolofen in Höhe der Herd- - sohle mit zwei Abstichlöchern versehen ist, aus deren einem das Eisen mittels Rinne in den Konverter geleitet wird, während das andere zur Einleitung des Schmelzgutes in einen Sammelherd dient, der unterhalb der Ofensohle angeordnet ist und von dem aus das Eisen in die Gießpfanne abgelassen werden kann.During the remelting of the pig iron to be carried out in the Kleinbessemerei The latter must have a cupola because of the transfer of the melting material into the pear experience elevated installation.
