Verfahren zur Herstellung von
3,3'-Äthylenbie-(tetr"ydro-4,6-dinethyl-2H-
1,3,5-thiadiasin-2-thion.)
Die $rfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Beretellung@von
3,3'-Xthy@enbis-(tetrshydro-4,6-dimethyl-2H-1,3,5-thisdias3n-
2-thion), welches als Yungioid gewerblich verwertbar ist;
vgl.
Patent ..... (Patentanmeldung P 22021 IYa/45 1),*wo
die Her-
stellung dieser Verbindung durch Umsetzung einen Ammoniussal-
$ee einer starken Säure mit einem Aldehyd, wie Aoetaldehyd,
und einem Salz der Die-dithiocarb4minegure beschrieben ist.
Das erfindungegemäese Verfahren zur Herstellung von 3,3'-
Xthylenbin-(tetrahydro-4,6«-dimethyl-2H-1,3,5-thiadiasin-2-
thion) besteht darin, dann (1) Ammoniumohlorid, xmonimeulfat,
saures A»oniumsulfat, Ammoniumnitrat, Amaoniumformiat, Ammo-.
nitabromid, Ammoniumphosphat,oder Ammoniumaoetat mit (2)
Acet-
aldehyd und (3) dem Natrium-, Kalium-, Aamoniumeals
oder dem
gesisöhten Natrium--Ammoniumeals der Ithylenbiedithiooarbsmin-
otre in einem wassrigen hösungemittel, welches ?50 bis 5000
g

Saison enthält,
1ufeoetst wird, wobei das Ammoniuuesals in einem überechuss
von
4 bis etwa 100 Gew. % über die Gewichtemenge des äthylenbiedi-
tMooarbaminsauren Bal$ee angewandt wird, worauf das aus
der
Reaktionsmasse als-Aiederschlag ausgefallene 3,3'-Äthylenbis-
(tetrahydro)-4,6-dimethyl-2H-1,3,5-thiadiasin-2-thion) gewon-
aen wird.
Als Ammoniumeals kann ein Ammoniumsal$ einer starken Säure,
wie
Anoriiumohlorid, Ammoniumsulfat, saures Ammoniuasulfat,
Ammo-
nintlnitrat, .A#imoniumformiat, Ammoniumbromid, Amrooniumphosphat,
Amoniumacitat und dergleichen verwendet werden. Die Verwendung
von Ammoniumchlorid ist vorteilhaft, weil in diesem Palle
aus
bisher noch unbekannten Gründen höhere Ausbeuten tiz
dem ge-
wünsohten Produkt erzielt werden. Ammoniumsulfat wird wegen
seiner leichten Erhältliohkeit und seiner chemischen Eigen-
schaften, wie seiner Nichtkorrosivität, bevorzugt, wodurch
der
Gesamtwirkungsgrad des Verfahrens verbessert wird.
Als dithiooarbamineauree Salz wird das Natriumeals, das
Kalium'-
sala, das A»oniwwisalz oder das gemischte Natrium-AMonivasals
der 1Lthylenbiedithiooarbamineäure verwendet. Das satriuseala
wird bevöraugt. nie Verwendung den Ämmoniumedlaee oder des

Nsohstihend wird das erfindungegendsse Verfahren unter Verweb-
dang ion Ammoniumeuifat, Aoetaldehyd und den Dinatriuesals@der-
XthylenbiedithiooarbamineKure beschrieben.
Bei dem erfindungegemäesen Verfahren wird der Aoetaldehyd
mit
einer- wässrigen Ammoniumsulfatlösun'g vermischt, und diese)
Ge-
misch wird das Dinatriumsala der xthylenbiedithiooarbasinsäure
zugesetzt.
Als Lösungsmittel verwendet man vorsngsweine Wasser; jedoch
können auch organische Lösungsmittel, wie Aceton, Dio:an
und
andere äetone und Alkohole, verwendet werden.
Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass das Gesamtverhältnis des
gan-
zen, in dem Verfahren verwendeten Wassers zu den oarbamineaurla
Salz einen bedeutenden Einfluse auf die Ausbeute an den
ge-
wünschten Thiadiazinthion hat. Dieses Verhältnis liegt gewöhn-
lich im Bereich von 750 bin 5000 und vorzugsweise im Bereich

Das Dinatriumsala der äthylenbisdithiooarbaminsitiie
wird mit
den Reaktionsgemisch in porm einer wässrigem TAsung von
Tor-
augsweise@10 bis 40 ßew.-% vermischt. Gutes Rfreu ist
hierbei
zu empfehlen, um örtliche Überhitzungen und ybermAseige
Ortli-
ohe Konzentrationen der Reaktioneteilnehmer au
vermeiden.
Die ßesohrindigkeit des Zusatzes richtet sich nach den jeweili@-
gen Bsaktionsteilnehmern, der Grösse deu Annat$es, der Reak-
tioaeanlege, des Wirkungsgrad des Rührens, der Kühlung und
an-
deren ßbliohen Verfahrensbedingungen; gewöhnlich wird jedoch
der lasatn des Balzen über einen Zeitraum von 15 Minuten
bis
24 8tnnden und vorzugsweise von 30 Minuten bis 4
Stunden ver-
teilt. Reaktionstemperaturen von 30 bis 50o 0 werden bevorzugt.
Uberrasohinderweise führen geringere Temperaturen zu
einer
sohleohteren Ausbeute und einer schlechten Beständigkeit
des
psoduktes, vährend bei höheren Temperaturen Zersetzung erfolgt.

tera. Ia Sinne der Erfindung kann der Zusatz
der Reaktionsteil-

bei verbesserte Ausbeuten erhalten worden sind.
Die oben angegebene Reihenfolge des Zusatses.der Reaktioneteil-
nehner irird zwar bevorzugt, ist jedoch für die Durchführbarkeit
des Verfahrens nicht wesentlich. Die bevorzugte Reihenfolge
den
Eusatses der Reaktionsteilnehmer fährt zu einer überraschenden
hattg der Beständigkeit des Produkten.
