Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf Zierstichnähmaschinen zur Erzeugung von Grover-Bakcrnähten und bezweckt, den Unterfaden während des Einstechens der Nähnadel gespannt zu halten, um sowohl ein Anstechen dieses Fadens auszuschließen, als auch eine solche Lage desselben zur Nähnadel zu verhüten, welche der Stichbildung hinderlich ist. Bekanntlich hebt sich der zum Vorschieben der weichen, elastischen Wirkware w dienende Stoffschieber α (Fig. 1) aus der Nähplatte b merklich hoch heraus, um eine sichere Verschiebung dieser Ware und damit eine gleichmäßige Naht zu erhalten. Die Erhebung des Stoffschiebers und das Abheben der Ware w von der Nähplattc b bedingt aber eine Vergrößerung der Entfernung vom Auge c des Greifers bezw. der Zirkelnadel bis zur Ware und damit einen großen Fadenabzug von der Spule d. Ist die Stoffver-Schiebung um eine Stichlänge erfolgt, so senkt sich der Stoffschieber und mit ihm die Ware, bis sie wieder auf der Nähplatte aufliegt.
