Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Aufbewahren von Brotschnitten und dergl., welche für Restaurants und Hotels ebenso wie für den Hausgebrauch vorteilhaft benutzbar ist. Die einzelnen Brotschnitten werden innerhalb eines beliebig gestalteten Brotkorbes in einem lose oder fest eingesetzten Einsatz aufbewahrt, der mehrere nebeneinander liegende Zellen bildet, welche unter sich in bezug auf die Mittelachse des Einsatzes um ein gewisses Stück versetzt sind. Dadurch wird erzielt, daß der vordere Teil einer Schnitte in bezug auf die Mittelachse um ein gewisses Stück vorsteht oder zurückgerückt ist, so daß man bei der Entnahme einer Schnitte die benachbarte nicht zu berühren braucht. Dies ist vor allen Dingen für Restaurationsbetrieb in hygienischer Hinsicht von erheblicher Bedeutung.
