Eisenbahnwagen mit zwei getrennten Bremsleitungen für zwei verschiedene Bremsarten (selbsttätige und direkte Bremse oder dergl.), welche zur Benutzung in Durchgangszügen mit S Mittelgängen bezw. Übergangsbrücken versehen sind, mußten bisher immer mit je vier Schlauchkupplungen an jedem Wagen ausgerüstet werden, da die Verbindung der Schlauchkupplungen über Kreuz nicht angängig ist.
Bei dem Gegenstand der Erfindung sind nur zwei Kupplungen erforderlich, von welchen die eine rechts, die andere links vom Mittelgange angebracht ist, indem eine Umschaltervorrichtung gestattet, jede Kuppelvorrichtung sowohl für die eine als für die andere Bremsleitung zu benutzen. Die Umschaltung erfolgt dabei gleichzeitig, so daß die beiden Kupplungen immer mit verschiedenen Bremsleitungen verbunden sind, und daß die Stellung des Umso Schalthebels immer die Richtung der einen Bremsleitung anzeigt, wodurch die Richtung der anderen sich von selbst ergibt.Railway wagons with two separate brake lines for two different types of braking (automatic and direct brake or the like.) Die Bewegung der Hähne erfolgt durch einen gemeinsamen Umschalter und wird auf beide Hahnküken durch eine Hebelvorrichtung oder dergl. so übertragen, daß die Luftströme entweder zueinander parallel laufen oder sich kreuzen. Der Steuerhebel hat in bezug auf die Hahnstellung eine derartige Lage, daß er bei sämtlichen Wagen die Richtung derselben Bremsleitung (z.
