Mit Rücksicht auf die vielfältigen Forderungen, die bei der Auswahl der Borsten zu beachten sind und die unter anderem auch deren elastisches Federverhalten beeinflussen, ist jedoch eine solche Abstimmung zwischen den Federkonstanten und der Borstenelastizität schon von vornherein nur schwer zu realisieren, und außerdem bleibt sie auf keinen Fall über eine längere Gebrauchsdauer der Borsten hinweg erhalten, da sich deren Federeigenschaften im Gebrauch durch Abnutzung und gegebenenfalls Verschmutzung· stark ändern. Weiterhin ist bei dem bekannten Mundstück das Umklappen von der einen Betriebsstellung in die andere nur bei bestimmten geometrischen Lagebeziehungen zwischen verschiedenen ihrer Teile möglich, die wiederum nur auf bestimmtem Untergrund gegeben sind. Bei der Arbeit mit dem bekannten Mundstück muß daher für die Umstellung stets auch auf den jeweiligen Untergrund geachtet werden, was naturgemäß besondere Aufmerksamkeit verlangt. Schließlich ist bei dem bekannten Mundstück unter Umständen auch eine ungewollte Umstellung des Betriebszustandes möglich. Wenn nämlich das Mundstück gegenüber seiner Unterlage verkantet und gleichzeitig einem Anpreßdruck gegen diese Unterlage ausgesetzt wird, geschieht es sehr häufig, daß das Mundstück unter Überwindung der entgegenstehenden Federkräfte in seine jeweils andere Betriebsstellung umspringt.
