Die schiefsende Falle b ist gabelförmig gestaltet; in dem entstandenen Ausschnitt ist ein dreieckiger Hebel α mittelst Stiftes d eingeschaltet. Der Hebel α bewegt sich um einen, im Schlofskasten eingesetzten zweiten Stift c.
Wird die Thür zugeworfen, so drückt der Rand des Schliefsbleches gegen den Hebel a, und dieser bewegt seinerseits durch den Stift d die schiefsende Falle b.
Die Bewegung dauert so lange, bis beide Theile unter sich und mit der Vorderfläche des Schlofskasten bündig liegen. · Ist die Thür dann so weit herangebracht, dafs der Hebel α und mit ihm die FalleN b durch die Oeffnung im Schliefsblech frei wird, so schnellen beide Theile vor und nehmen ihre Anfangslage wieder ein.
Der Vorzug dieser Anordnung besteht in einer äufserst leichten Beweglichkeit der Falle.
Diese Vervollkommnung ist dadurch bedingt, dafs die Reibung auf der schiefen Fläche der Falle fortgefallen, und dafs die beim Zumachen der Thür sich äufsernde Kraft durch Vermittelung einer möglichst günstigen Hebelverbindung zur Bewegung der schiefsenden Falle benutzt wird. .
Die vorliegende Construction vereinigt die Vortheile der gewöhnlichen schiefsenden Falle mit denen des Systems Fondu. Anwendbar ist dieses Schlofs nicht nur für Thüren an Eisenbahnwagen, sondern auch für viele andere Fälle.
