Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Verbesserung an Rohrzangen, bei welchen die feste und die bewegliche Backe mit Zähnen ineinandergreifen und durch seitliche Lappen drehbar miteinander verbunden sind. Bei diesen bekannten Rohrzangen findet das Öffnen der Zange dadurch statt, daß man die bewegliche Backe mit der Hand aufklappt. Bei der neuen Vorrichtung dient dagegen hierzu ein besonderer Handgriff, welcher so angebracht ist, daß er bequem von der Hand, welche den Zangenstiel hält, erfaßt werden kann. Es ist nun schon mehrfach vorgeschlagen worden, bei Rohrzangen an die bewegliche Backe einen Handgriff anzuschließen, um das Öffnen bezw. Schließen der Zange mit nur einer Hand möglich zu machen.
