Die Zuführung des Materials erfolgt in bekannter Weise durch einen festen, nicht drehbaren Trichter E, welcher durch eine Stopfbüchse mit der sich drehenden Trommel verbunden ist, und zwar mit dem hohlen Achsschenkel (Fig. 2) oder mit der Mitte der durchbohrten Seitenwand (Fig. 1), je nachdem die Trommel in Lagern oder auf Rollen ruht. Der Trichter E ist wie bei früheren Vorrichtungen so hoch geführt, dafs der mit ihm in Verbindung stehende Flüssigkeitsspiegel in der Trommel möglichst hoch liegt. An dem Trichterrohre befindet sich ein Zuflufs G für das Mahlwasser, um das Mahlgut in die Trommel zu schwemmen. Durch Regelung des Mahlwasserzuflusses und der Mahlgutzuführung läfst sich demnach bei freiem Abflüsse an der Austragseite die Dauer der Mahlwirkung auf das Mahlgut und somit jede gewünschte Feinheit bestimmen. Der Abflufs· des fertig vermahlenen Productes ist nun so gestaltet, dafs der Flüssigkeitsspiegel möglichst hoch liegt, wobei durch eine kleine Oberfläche desselben die Wellenbildung möglichst verringert wird.
