Die Verbindung des Schutzgitters mit dem Wagenkasten erfolgt durch am Bügel c sitzende Klemmstücke d, welche um den oberen Rand des Wagenkastens gelegt werden. Der obere Bügel α ist ferner an seinen beiden Enden mit Haken e versehen, welche bei Ingebrauchnahme der Schutzvorrichtung mit den Sturmstangen χ des Verdecks y oder mit deren Drehzapfen in Eingriff gebracht werden. Zum Feststellen des Schutzgitters in verschiedenen Höhenlagen dient ferner ein auf einem Gelenkzapfen der den oberen und unteren mit dem Mittelbügel verbindenden Zwischenstäbe ι bis 8 sitzendes Sperrrad v, welches in vorliegendem Falle (Fig. 3) auf dem Gelenkzapfen der Zwischenstäbe 6, 6 angeordnet ist und in dessen Sperrzähne eine vom drehbar gelagerten Handhebel n> mittels der Nase t beeinflufste Sperrklinke u (Fig. 5 und 5a) eingeführt wird, sobald das.Schutzgitter festgestellt werden soll.
