Bei dem Calciniren von Bicarbonat mittelst directen Feuers erleidet die Güte des Fabrikats durch Aufnahme von Flugstaub und Zersetzungsproducten des verwendeten Koks Eintrag. Um diesen Uebelstand zu beseitigen und gleichzeitig jedes beliebige Brennmaterial zu obigem Zweck verwerthen zu können, verwendet der Erfinder einen Ofen, der so eingerichtet ist, dafs die Flamme mehrere über einander liegende Calcinirkammern umspült, welche zwar unter sich communiciren, aber als Ganzes geschlossen sind, und in denen mechanische Rührer das Calcmiren des Bicarbonate durch Umwenden desselben beschleunigen.When bicarbonate is calcined by direct fire, the quality of the manufacture suffers entry through the absorption of fly ash and decomposition products of the coke used.
