Den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein Thonreiniger, bei welchem der vordere Theil des Mundstückes mit dem Reinigungssieb auswechselbar ist, um mit dem Thonreiniger ohne Unterbrechung weiter arbeiten zu können, wenn eine Reinigung des Mundstückhalses und Siebes erforderlich wird. Gegenüber bekannten, demselben Zwecke dienenden Vorrichtungen dieser Art zeichnet sich die vorliegende Erfindung dadurch aus, dafs der die Unreinigkeiten aufnehmende Theil des Mundstückhalses und das Sieb oder Gitter in einer dem hinteren Theile des Mundstückes quer vorgelagerten Wendetrommel vereinigt sind, in deren Umfang sie als Zellen angeordnet sind. Der Thon gelangt durch die Siebe in das Trommelinnere, aus dem er durch eine Förderschnecke herausgeschafft werden kann, während die von den Sieben zurückgehaltenen Unreinigkeiten beim Weiterdrehen der Trommel aus den nach aufsen offenen Zellen herausfallen oder mit leichter Mühe entfernt werden können. Da sich eine Zelle unmittelbar an die andere anschliefst, so kann beim Weiterdrehen der Trommel der Thonreiniger ungestört weiter fördern. Parallel zur Zellentrommelachse e ist eine Förderschnecke/ gelagert, deren Achse durch die die Siebtrommel nach einer Stirnseite abschliefsende, feste Scheibe g hindurchgeht. Die gegenüberliegende Stirnwand der Trommel B hat Oeffnungen h, durch welche die Schnecke f den Thon stets an derselben Stelle herausfördert. Durch das Schneckengetriebe i-k kann die Zellentrommel von Hand gedreht werden.
