Die Erfindung betrifft Kessel aus flach gegen einander gestellten Gliedern, welche vom Wasser durchflossen werden und den Feuerraum urnschliefsen. Solche Gliederkessel zeigen einen wesentlichen Uebelstand, der häufig zu Ausbesserungen Veranlassung giebt und darin besteht, dafs die einzelnen Glieder infolge der in ihnen auftretenden schädlichen Spannungen leicht platzen. Mit diesem Uebelstande mufste gerechnet werden, so dafs diese bekannten Gliederkessel bisher nur als Niederdruckkessel bei Heizungsanlagen und dergl. Verwendung finden, nicht aber zur Erzielung höher gespannter Dämpfe benutzt werden können. Mit vorliegender Erfindung wird nun beabsichtigt, diese bekannten Gliederkessel auch zur Erzeugung von Betriebsdampf brauchbar zu machen. Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe bedingte unter Belassung der vortheilhaften Gestaltung der einzelnen Glieder den Fortfall schädlicher Spannungen in denselben, und dies ist durch die senkrechte Theilung der einzelnen Glieder in der Art erreicht, dafs sie sich den verschiedenen Temperaturgraden entsprechend allseitig dehnen können, ohne dafs ein Bruch eintritt.The invention relates to kettles made of limbs placed flat against each other, which are from the water flow through and close the combustion chamber.
