PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The present invention relates to an attachment serving as a heat collector for gas stoves, which is arranged at a suitable distance above the burner head and differs from the known similar devices in that it is provided on its outer circumference with ribs, for the purpose of those located between the latter Channels to allow post-combustion to take place in that the channels prevent premature cooling of the combustion gases and at the same time preheat the air required for combustion. Fig. Ι shows a vertical section through a gas furnace d , over the burner head g by means of arms ο the basket ρ serving as a heat collector made of refractory material is placed. Fig. 2 is a horizontal section through the heat collector ρ along line AB of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows a vertical section through a plate without ribs and Figs. 4 and 5 schematically illustrate the circulation of the combustion gases and the air at the edge of the heat collector. 6 shows a vertical section through a ribbed plate, and FIGS. 7 and 8 illustrate, corresponding to FIGS. 4 and 5, the path of the air and the gases in the edge channels of the heat collector.
Die Temperatur der auf diese Weise allseitig geschützten LuftströmeIn the case of heat collectors without ribs, corresponding to FIGS. 3 to 5, the gas flow rises upwards along the outer boundary line b, approximately in the given thickness ζ. The outer, rising air surrounds the gas flow i in a layer h and is delimited by lines f, ν. If one compares this with the ribbed plate according to Figs. 6 to 8, it is found that with the latter, on the one hand, a loss of heat from the gases cannot occur to the same extent as with the ribless plate, and on the other hand, the layer of air torn up with the gas provides better preheating learns, so that in the firing process, which continues in the edge channels of the rib body, the combustion air is used more preheated than can be the case with the ribless plates. Accordingly, the combustion in the edge channels of the fin plate will be much more complete. In FIGS. 6 to 8, the gas flow i is limited by the lines c, e , the rib depth being chosen such that the gas flow only fills the rib gaps or channels r about halfway, while the outer half of the channels is filled by the entrained air is filled out. The air layer h follows the rising air streams h ' in the channels, so that the air layer h' rising in the channel is limited, on the outside by the air layer h, on the side by the rib surfaces η and on the inside by the gas flow i. The temperature of the air streams protected on all sides in this way
ist wesentlich höher als die des entsprechenden Luftstromes der vollen Platte.is much higher than that of the corresponding air flow of the full plate.
The gases pass from the burner directly into the channels r, sweep under the surfaces s and η of the channels and meet in these with the preheated air layer h ' . The gas flow m therefore does not come into contact with cold air, but with an already preheated intermediate air layer h '.
