Die Dampfvertheilung in dem Arbeitscylinder A geschieht durch oscillirende Corlifs-Hähne B, und zwar werden diese durch ihre Wellen ff mittelst der Hebel F und der Zugstangen f1 von dem oscillirenden Kreuz G bewegt, welches um eine an der Seitenwand des Cylinders A oder am Gestell befestigte Axe g, schwingt. Das Kreuz G wird durch die Stange^·3, die an dasselbe mittelst des Zapfens g"* angeschlossen ist, von einem hier nicht gezeichneten Excenter in eine hin- und herschwingende Bewegung versetzt. Das Kreuz G hat vier Arme, von denen jeder einen Zapfen gl trägt, der durch die Zugstange f1 mit dem Hebel F verbunden kist. Die Wege, die die ,Zapfen gl und die 'Enden der Hebel F durchlaufen, sind am oberen Ende des Dampfcylinders punktirt angegeben. Ein noch schnellerer Schlufs der Einlafshähne, als ihn obige Einrichtungen an und für sich mit sich bringen, kann durch besondere Vorrichtungen erreicht werden, die in der Zeichnung nicht weiter angegeben, aber denen gleich oder ähnlich sind, die seit langer Zeit an Corlifs-Maschinen angewendet wurden. Die Auslafshähne bleiben in dauernder Verbindung mit dem Bewegungsmechanismus.
