Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Hufeisen von jener in zahlreichen Ausführungen bekannten Art, bei welcher die Befestigung des Eisens am Huf des Pferdes statt durch Nägel durch sich an den Huf legende bewegliche Hebel, Bänder oder dergl. erfolgt. Den bekannten Einrichtungen gegenüber besteht die Neuerung darin, dafs die zur Verwendung kommenden, hinten an jeder Seite des Eisens angelenkten Hebel, welche sich seitlich an den Huf legen, je aus zwei gegen einander federnden Armen bestehen, von denen zur Befestigung der eine mit einem an ihm angelenkten Haken oder Zangenstück in eine Aussparung des Hufes greift und der andere durch Verbinden mit einem federnden Metallband am Eisen gegen die Federwirkung nach unten gezogen wird, während ein sich vorn um den Huf legendes federndes Metallband, welches mit seinen Enden an die beiden entsprechenden letztgenannten Hebelarme auf jeder Seite des Hufes angelenkt ist, durch Verbinden mit dem vorderen Griffstück des Hebels gleichfalls gegen seine und die Federwirkung der Hebel nach unten gezogen wird.
