KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. Die Verbesserung dieses Kessels besteht in der Erzeugung von völlig trockenem Dampf auch ohne Anwendung des Hochdrucks in dem Wasserbehälter, nur durch die verbesserte Anordnung der Gegenströmung von Wasser und Feuer. Zur Erläuterung des Vorganges der Dampferzeugung diene nachfolgende Beschreibung nebst beiliegender Zeichnung. Das Wasser tritt durch das Mundstück A in den Wasserbehälter B ein, bis die Röhren desselben vollständig gefüllt sind, und gelangt dann durch die Röhren C, welche den Wasserbehälter B mit dem Dampfbehälter D verbinden, in letzteren. Sind nun die Rohre d d d (unterste Röhrenlage des Dampf behälters D) mit Wasser gefüllt, was der Wasserstandszeiger E angiebt, so ist die Füllung des Kessels beendigt. Wird nun geheizt, so wirkt das directe Feuer zuerst auf die mit Wasser gefüllten Röhren des Dampf behälters D, folgt dann der Zugführung durch den Fuchs F, wirkt nun zuerst auf die obersten Rohre des Wasserbehälters B und, indem es abwärts geführt wird, umspült es die Heizfläche des Wasserbehälters in seiner ganzen Ausdehnung und geht endlich bei G in den Schornstein.
