The invention relates to a steering column switch for displaying the intended change in direction of travel for motor vehicles with a fixed jacket tube of the steering column enclosing and on this attached switch housing and a switch lever that rotates around a pivot point in the switch housing is pivotally mounted, as well as a reset roller that rests in the on position on the steering column and when Turning the steering column back in the straight-ahead driving position automatically turns the steering column switch back into its off position moved back.
There are a variety of steering column switch designs known, in which a cooperating with the steering column to automatically switch off the switch Reset roller is provided. In all of these versions there is a reset roller made of soft elastic material. When the steering column switch is switched on, the reset roller is activated by the Shift lever against a spring force against .the steering column or one permanently connected to it Ring pressed. Since the switch lever is firmly mounted in the switch housing, the must always be available Tolerance differences are compensated for by the return roller. For this reason, the Reset roller consist of soft elastic material. In the known designs, the reset roller is generally mounted on a bridge member which is slidably mounted in the switch housing is. When switching on, the bridge link is moved with the return roller in the direction of the steering column, and springs attached to the bridge member and to the switch housing are tensioned, the Remove the bridge link with the reset roller from the steering column when it is switched off automatically and hold it in the withdrawn position. The well-known steering column switch with reset roller are relatively simple in their structure, but they have the disadvantage that the soft elastic The existing reset roller material quickly wears out and the switch is no longer functionally reliable works and is therefore unusable after a relatively short service life. Because of this lack Steering column switches with a reset roller are seldom built.
The invention is based on the object of providing a steering column switch with a reset roller has the advantage of the particularly simple design of these switches, but avoids their disadvantages.
According to the invention, this object is achieved with a steering column switch of the type described in the introduction easily solved by the fact that the bridge

glied durch Federn in Richtung des Lenkstockes vorgespannt ist, daß die Rückstellrolle in Einschaltstellung durch die Kraft der Federn an den Lenkstock andrückbar ist, daß die Rückstellrolle mit ihren Achsbolzen in einer Ausnehmung des Schaltgliedes und einer Ausnehmung des Schaltergehäuses gelagert ist und daß am Brückenglied zwei zueinander geneigt angeordnete Laufflächen vorgesehen sind, von denen jeweils eine in Einschaltstellung mit der Rückstellrolle in Verbindung kommt.member is biased by springs in the direction of the steering column that the return roller is in the on position can be pressed against the steering column by the force of the springs that the return roller with their Axle bolt mounted in a recess in the switching element and in a recess in the switch housing is and that the bridge member two mutually inclined running surfaces are provided, of which one in each case comes into contact with the reset roller in the switched-on position.
In order to keep the reset roller in the switched-off position free from the effects of force, it is advantageous that To apply the bridge element in the switched-off position to stops on the switch housing that affect the bridge element absorb acting spring forces.
Another possibility, the reset roller and the steering column in the off position of the steering column switch To keep the two recesses of the shift lever free from the effects of force and to shape the switch housing so that the axle bolts of the reset roller are in the switch-off position rest against the edges of the recesses facing the steering column, so that the return roller can be lifted off the steering column.
Hierdurch kann der Schalter außerordentlich billig hergestellt werden, und durch entsprechende Materialwahl kannSince according to the invention the reset roller in the switched-on position by the springs against the steering column is pressed, arbitrarily large tolerances can be selected for the switch parts, and the Reset roller can be used as a rigid or less resilient part, e.g. B. plastic injection molded part. The individual parts of the switch can essentially consist of stamped and bent parts that are relatively easy to manufacture or plastic molded parts. This allows the switch to be manufactured extremely cheaply and by choosing the right material

F ig. 1.Fi g. 2 shows a section AB through the switch model]. Fig. 1.
The model shown is made up of extremely few individual parts, namely one plate-shaped switch housing, which is to be attached to the jacket tube (not shown), a bridge member 2, which is attached to the switch housing by means of bolts 3 is slidably guided and is pulled by means of tension springs 4 in the direction of the steering column. Instead of the tension springs compression springs or leaf springs can also be used. As a contact surface for a reset roller 5 are used upwardly bent tabs 6 of the bridge pontic 2. A steering column encompassing Switching element 7 is riveted to a switching lever 8. In the embodiment shown, the falls Pivot point of the shift lever in the steering column axis. This has the advantage that large lever arms for Restoring forces are present without the switch housing protruding far from the steering column. Through the large lever arms need the pressure force of the return roller on the steering column, which is created by the pulling springs 4 is generated, not to be made large in order to ensure a safe return to the switched-off position to enable the switch when turning the steering wheel back into the straight-ahead driving position. That Bridge member 2 can be displaced through longitudinal slots 9 between bolts 3 and switch housing 1 stored. The longitudinal slots 9 are arranged and dimensioned so that the bridge member in the switched-off position rests against the bolt 3 and the bolts 3 absorb the spring forces of the tension springs 4, so that the Reset roller is free of pressure forces or at least can rotate freely with the steering column. the Reset roller 5 is provided with axle bolts 10, one of which is in a recess 11 of the switching element 7 is guided and the other protrudes into a recess 12 of the switch housing. The two recesses 11 and 12 can be shaped so that in the switched-off position, the axle bolts 10 on the inner The edge of the recesses. However, this is not necessary and in the embodiment shown also not the case, since the pressure relief is brought about solely by the bolts 3 here.
