The invention relates to a method for producing fibrous webs on the wire of a paper machine by feeding endless threads in front of the sheet formation zone. It represents an improvement or further development of the invention according to patent application F 41606 VII b / 55 d (German Auslegeschrift 1 254 450), according to which, for the production of nonwovens in a paper machine, fibers in one Liquid flow fed to the paper machine screen, dewatered there and then dried are, according to the invention, continuous fibers are fed to the liquid stream, their speed is greater than the speed of the sieve. This process made it possible to process endless fibers according to the papermaking technique and thus the strength of such fibers to make usable. Because in this process the speed with which the endless fibers are fed is greater than the speed of the screen, the endless fibers experience a slowdown, which leads to a tangled position on the sieve. By using endless fibers and the Depositing these endless fibers in loops and random layers on the wire of the paper machine becomes one Achieved fibrous web that has good strength properties in all directions. Depending on the speed difference In spite of everything, there are often still differences in the strength values in the individual directions between the sieve or stock water and the fibers fed in.

It has now been found that the tear resistance of these fibrous webs can be further improved significantly and can be better adapted to the respective application purpose if after a process the main patent application the endless threads are fed in several levels, with the Threads have different speeds from each other.

The inventive method allows the finished product in its properties, above all largely adapt to the respective requirements in terms of its tear resistance and the longitudinal and To arbitrarily influence transverse tensile strength.

Because the feed speed of the endless threads in the individual levels is different from each other is, there is a different degree of deceleration in the individual levels and thus different strong cancellation of the alignment of the threads in the running direction of the wire.

Movement of the feed organs of the endless threads is that portion of the endless threads, which in the is deposited essentially transversely to the sieve direction, still enlarged. Of course you can too both measures mentioned are applied together.

From French Patent 1,332,813 it is known to place fibers of finite length in a headbox feed, which is divided into different levels by baffles. Through this Guide plates, the supplied pulp suspension with short fibers is divided into several one above the other Subdivided feed levels. The feed speed of the same pulp suspension divided into individual levels with short fibers is about the total flow cross-section in the individual levels the same size and about 2 to 5 times as high as the sieving speed. This known method is not suitable for the production of fibrous webs from continuous filaments, as the individual layers of the Pulp suspension are fed at the same speed and this type of feed cannot be applied to the production of nonwovens from continuous filaments if one has a high tensile strength want to achieve.
