Description
Method and device for the production of tubular, all-round closed, Glass Vessels Containing High Pressure Gas The invention relates to on a process for the production of tubular, all-round closed glass vessels, which contain gas under high pressure.
It is based on the task of a method for dehumidifying the Glass vessels and for melting those filled with gas under high pressure To create vessels and a device by means of which this method is carried out can be. The glass vessels produced in this way should preferably be used for Low-inertia switches based on the air thermometer principle are used.
The inventive solution to this problem is that in a and the same container, a dehumidification generated by heating and vacuum, then a high-pressure gas filling and then the fusible seal in a manner known per se of the tubular glass vessel takes place.
During the fusion, a contact can be fused axially will.
The device designed according to the invention for performing the aforementioned Method is characterized in that in an exchangeable, cylindrical Pressure-vacuum container for holding at least one glass tube closed on one side an interchangeable insert is provided, in which the glass tube with the closed End hanging down can be introduced so that a melting chamber at the point the desired fusion centric to the glass tube and underneath a heating chamber comes to rest.
The means of such a device on the basis of the above Small glass tube vessels, which are closed on all sides, are made in the process their use for low-inertia switches on two high-pressure gas chambers that run through a very narrow capillary are connected to each other. In the capillary is a mercury thread arranged, one of the two when electrically heated internally High-pressure gas chambers within the capillary is moved so far that he has a fused in the side wall of the capillary with a second contact in the Capillary protruding contact connects. This creates a circuit closed. This low-inertia switch can be switched by means of either of the two Gas high-pressure chambers arranged heating wire can be remotely controlled. This heating wire must before filling the glass tube, which is closed on one side, with high pressure - For example, 30 to 50 atmospheric gas cleaned by heating in a vacuum will. It is especially important to clean the glass tube before filling it with high pressure gas to dehumidify so that the displacement of the mercury thread in the very narrow Capillary not caused by molecular vapor residues different frictional resistances can oppose. According to the invention, the dehumidification, the filling with high pressure gas and the melting of the glass tubes in one and the same container carried out.
This container is gas-tight and detachably closed by a base and standing upright in a base part by means of a known screw or bayonet lock anchored. According to the invention, the bottom part is above and offset to the recesses for the aforementioned bayonet lock with Recesses are provided for a second bayonet lock that holds the pressure-vacuum container after unlocking the first bayonet catch in the raised position. This measure prevents with certainty that in the event of accidental unlocking of the first bayonet lock, the pressure vessel is thrown off under gas pressure can be.
The further features specified in the dependent claims 6 to 10 of the invention emerge from the following description of the drawing illustrated embodiment of a device for performing the method.

The printing cylinder 1 engages in a base part 2. The bottom part 2 is fastened by means of the bolts 3 on a mounting plate 4 , which in turn rests on a table top 5. A base 6, which engages in the pressure cylinder 1 and seals it against the outside atmosphere by means of a seal 7, is screwed onto the mounting plate 4. The pressure cylinder 1 is provided at its lower end with projections 8 which engage in corresponding recesses 8 a of the bottom part 2 in the manner of a bayonet lock. Above the recesses 8, further recesses 9 are arranged on the base part 2, which are offset with respect to the recesses 8 a and can also engage with the projections 8 of the pressure cylinder in the manner of a bayonet lock. In the base 6, the shut-off cocks (not shown) for evacuation, for the introduction of pressurized gas and for emptying the pressure vessel and the necessary power supply lines are arranged in bores 6a. A plug socket 11 is attached to the socket 6 by means of the bolts 10 and accommodates the sockets for the electrical connections. The insert receiving the glass bodies to be melted off has a plug 12 which acts as an electrical coupling with the base 11. The line 13 to the melting chambers 15 and the line 14 to the heating chambers 16 extend from the plug 12. The chambers 15 and 16 are arranged at a distance from the axis of the insert given by the dimensions of the glass vessels. The melting chambers 15 are formed by bores in the cylindrical insulating bodies 21 and 22 lying one above the other, which are held between the plates 19 and 20. The bores in the lower insulating body 21 are provided on their inner circumference with thread-like recesses in which the heating coil 23 is arranged. The heating chambers 16 consist of bores 25 in a plate 24 made of insulating material, in which the heating coil 26 is arranged. The plate 24 is held in place on the axle bolt 18 by means of a holding plate 27. The spacer disk 17 is provided with bores 28 into which the ends of the glass bodies to be melted are inserted. The springs 29 hold the glass body in the bores 28 due to their clamping effect.
When the device according to the invention is put into operation, the insert is first filled with a number of glass bodies to be melted corresponding to the number of melting chambers, which are introduced from below through the bores 25 and the melting chambers 15 . The glass bodies are held in the bores 28 of the spacer disk 17 by means of the springs 29 . After all the chambers are filled with glass bodies, the insert is inserted with its plug 12 into the socket 11 and the printing cylinder 1 via the bayonet catches 9 and 8 a locked to the bottom part 2 and closed by the seal 7 to the atmosphere. The pressure cylinder 1 is now evacuated by actuating the corresponding shut-off valve. Here, the heating chambers 16 are heated so that the liquid contained in the glass bodies evaporates. After evacuation, the pressure cylinder 1 is filled, for example, with argon under the required pressure via another shut-off valve, the glass bodies open on one side also being filled with this gas at the same pressure. Once the required pressure has been reached, the heating coils 23 of the melting chambers are switched on by a pressure switch, whereby the glass bodies in the melting chambers are heated to the softening temperature. Here, under the effect of the weight, the glass bodies emerge downwards, whereby they are melted shut at their ends. Once all the glass bodies have melted, the pressure cylinder is emptied through a third shut-off valve. The pressure cylinder is then unlocked from the bayonet lock 8 a and is held in this position by the bayonet lock 9 in the raised position so that any residual gas in the pressure cylinder 1 can escape. Then the pressure cylinder 1 is removed from the bottom part 2 by unlocking the bayonet lock 9, the plug 12 of the insert is removed from the base 11 and the melted glass body is removed from the insert, whereupon the melting threads can be severed. The insert can now be refilled with glass bodies to be melted, so that the previously described operation can be repeated.
