Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Gaserzeuger. Derselbe ist gekennzeichnet durch einen Aschenfall in Verbindung mit einem Wasserverschlufs und einem zum Herausziehen der Asche dienenden Rechen in solcher Anordnung, dafs einerseits eine rasche Verdampfung des Wassers des Verschlusses vermieden wird, andererseits das Herausziehen der Asche aus dem Aschenfall von aufsen ermöglicht wird, ohne den Ofen zum Nachtheil der Gaserzeugung öffnen zu müssen.The present invention relates to a gas generator. Sodann dreht man den Rechen wieder zurück und zieht ihn in die ursprüngliche Lage bis etwa zum Rande der Grube des Wasserverschlusses c, wobei die Asche, Schlacken etc. in die Grube fallen. Aus dieser kann man die Asche, Schlacken etc. von aufsen entfernen, ohne Luft in den Gaserzeuger eintreten lassen zu müssen. In der Ruhelage des Rechens (in vollen Linien gezeichnet) schützt derselbe das Wasser der Grube gegen Wärmestrahlen des Ofens und gegen unmittelbare Berührung mit den aus dem Ofen austretenden heifsen Gasen. α is the grate that can be moved from the outside, b the ash fall, c the water seal and d the rake for pulling out the ash and slag.
