Es ist mit Hilfe der Erfindung nicht nur möglich, nicht genau in einen Rahmen passende Prismen wieder festzugießen, man spart beim Wiedereinsetzen der frisch geschliffenen Prismen einen Arbeitsgang, weil die Befestigung in der Fassung und die Herstellung der Schutzhülle in einem Arbeitsgang vor sich geht. Besonders wichtig ist dabei, daß man einen Kunststoff nimmt, der im festen Zustande, in welchem er sehr gut das Prisma im Periskop halten kann, noch nachgiebig ist.
