Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Entkohlung von flüssigem Roheisen im Vorherde des Kupolofens. Dieses Verfahren ist gegenüber dem z. B. von Dürre, Handbuch des Eisengiefsereibetriebes, 1892, Band I, S. 561, beschriebenen, bei welchem die Gasabnahme dicht unterhalb des Gichtabschlusses stattfindet, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dafs die Ofengase nach Abschlufs der Gicht und Abstellung der Formen mittelst unterhalb der Gicht angeordneter Düsen, unter Benutzung des Gegenstromprincips, in den Vorherd getrieben werden.The present invention relates to a method for decarburizing liquid pig iron in the forehearth of the cupola furnace. Das Roheisen wird im Schacht α niedergeschmolzen und sammelt sich im Vorherd b. Hierauf wird der Schacht α durch einen Deckel c geschlossen, der Wind bei den Formen g abgestellt, dagegen durch die Düsen/ im oberen Theil des Schachtes eingeblasen, wodurch die heifsen Gase gezwungen werden, durch den Ofenschacht nach abwärts in den Vorherd zu streichen, wo sie verbrannt und zur Wärmeabgabe benutzt werden. Vermöge dieser Einrichtung wird der Koks vollkommen ausgenutzt und die Gase werden weit höher erhitzt, als es bei der gewöhnlichen Verbrennung geschieht. Die hochgradig erhitzten Gase werden im Vorherd mit der durch die Düse d eingeprefsten Luft zu einer oxydirenden Flamme vollkommen verbrannt und geben ihre Wärme an das Bad ab, indem sie letzteres zugleich vor Abkühlung durch die auf seine Oberfläche auftreffenden Luftstrahlen schützen, welche im Verein mit der oxydirenden Flamme das Eisen entkohlen.The pig iron is melted down in the shaft α and collects in the forehearth b. Verfahren zur Entkohlung von flüssigem Roheisen im Vorherde eines Kupolofens mittelst einer die Oberfläche des Eisens ganz oder theilweise bestreichenden Düse unter gleichzeitiger Benutzung der Ofengase, welche, zu einer oxydirenden Flamme verbrannt, die Entkohlung beschleunigen und den Vorherd erwärmen, dadurch gekennzeichnet,, dafs die Ofengase nach Abschlufs der Gicht und Abstellung der Formen (g) mittelst unterhalb der Gicht angeordneter Düsen (f) in den Vorherd (b) getrieben werden.Patent claim:
