Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, zu verhindern, daß diese Abgase durch die Luft wandern, sie verunreinigen und von Menschen eingeatmet werden. Die Lösung besteht gemäß der Erfindung darin, daß das untere Ende der Schornsteine von Gebäuden, deren Geschosse mit eigenen Heizvorrichtungen versehen sind, mit der Straßenkanalisation verbunden ist und die Abgase am unteren Ende des Schornsteins abgesaugt werden. Der Schornstein wird also nunmehr von den Abgasen in umgekehrter Richtung durchzogen.
