Dabei kann im gleichen Arbeitsgang die erforderliche Oberflächenstruktur vorgesehen werden. B. aus Thomasstahl mit einem bei etwa 0,0111/o liegenden Stickstoffgehalt. Bei solchen Stählen ist unmittelbar nach der Biegeverformung zwar noch keine über den Einfluß der Kaltverformung hinausgehende Verfestigung festzustellen. Eine beachtliche Verfestigung tritt jedoch durch mit Hilfe der Biegeverfonnung eingeleitete Alterung ein. Sie erlangt das für hochbelastbare Beton-Bewehrungseinlagen erforderliche Maß für Raumtemperatur nach einer von der jeweils verwendeten Stahlsorte abhängigen, nach Tagen, Wochen oder Monaten bemessenen Lagerzeit. Die Lagerzeit läßt sich durch Erwärmen des verfestigten Stahles wesentlich abkürzen. Die gewünschte Alterungsverfestigung, die bei einem bestimmten Stahl unter Raumtemperatur etwa 2 Wochen dauert, tritt bei Erwärmen auf etwa 150' C z. B. schon nach wenigen Stunden ein. Wenn während der Kaltverformung so verfahren wird, daß der Stahl sich auf eine solche Temperatur erwärmt, kann auf eine besondere Lagerzeit verzichtet werden.The object of this invention is to improve the method according to the main patent. Patentanspruch: Verfahren zum Verfestigen von stab- und drahtfönnigen Stählen unterhalb der Rekristallisationstemperatur durch Behandeln in wenigstens einer Ebene und in einem Arbeitsgang, wobei in mindestens einem Rollvorgang sowohl das Ab- biegen als auch das Profilieren durchgeführt wird, nach Patentanmeldung S 50132 VI a/ 18 c, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Verformung mit einem Biegeradius durchgeführt wird, der kleiner ist als der sechsfache Stab- oder Drahtdurchmesser, vorzugsweise das Vierfache dieses Durchmessers beträgt, wobei die Anwendung dieser Verformung auf alterungsfähige Stähle durchgeführt werden soll und gegebenenfalls die Einschaltung einer den Eigenschaften solcher Stähle angepaßten Lagerung zwischen Verformung und bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung des Stabes oder Drahtes erfolgen kann.
