Die Erfindung betrifft eine Weitwurfrolle für Angelruten mit einer Schnuraufwickelvorrichtung, die mittels einer Handkurbel über eine Kupplung und ein Übersetzungsgetriebe in Drehung versetzbar ist und mit einer durch Drehen der Handkurbel betätigbaren Schaltvorrichtung zum Ein- und Ausrücken der Kupplung. Bei allen bisher bekanntgewordenen Weitwurfrollen erzeugt eine gleichmäßige Drehung der Handkurbel auch eine gleichmäßige Drehung der Schnuraufwickelvorrichtung. Es ist jedoch eine Angelwinde bekannt, die zwischen der Handkurbel und dem Übersetzungsgetriebe eine Reibungskupplung und eine zugeordnete Schaltvorrichtung in Form einer Nockensteuerung aufweist, wobei die letztere bewirkt, daß der Druck einer den Reibungsschluß der Kupplung herbeiführenden Feder verschieden groß ist, je nachdem, ob die Handkurbel im einen oder im andern Drehsinn gedreht wird. Um den Kupplungsdruck zu vermindern und damit die Kupplung weitgehend auszuschalten, muß die Handkurbel wenigstens ein Stück weit rückwärts gedreht werden.
