Compressed air switch The invention relates to a compressed air switch
a compressed air tank in which, in addition to the two contacts of the switching point
Blow valve is arranged. With such a pressurized gas switch, it is desirable
that once the blowing of the arc when the contacts are spaced apart
takes place, which is smaller than the isolation distance, and on the other hand the outflow
the compressed air from the compressed air tank ends after the arc has been extinguished
will. For this purpose, it is known in such switches, the movable contact
to connect the switching point with the moving part of the blow valve and the blow valve
by a compressed air piston against a spring to open it
returns to the closed position after the arc has been extinguished.
The aim of the invention is to design switches of the type mentioned so that
that first the blow valve is opened, then the contacts are separated
and then after the arc is extinguished while increasing the
Contact distance between the moving part of the blower valve and the one attached to it
Blowing contact is returned to the closed position of the valve. To this end
the compressed air switch is designed so that the with the movable part of the blow valve
connected contact of the switching point in the event of an interruption process the other
The contact of the switching point moves in the disconnection direction and this mating contact
in or near a position that corresponds to the open position of the blower valve,
a force, in particular the force of a spring, is exposed, which makes it independent
from the first-mentioned contact further in the disconnection direction to Yin its end position
shifts, and that after the arc has been extinguished, the blow valve returns to
is returned to its closed position in a known manner.
Schaltern bedeutet. An advantage of the switch according to the invention is that the contacts
of the switch can be actuated by a brief blast of compressed air, and
Another advantage of the fact that no compressed air is required to make the contacts
to be held neither in open nor in closed position. This, on the other hand, is the
Usually with known switches in which there is no supply of compressed air to the
Actuators of the switch to unintentional closing or opening
the switch and can lead to serious accidents. In the inventive
This risk does not exist with switches, which is a considerable advantage over the known ones
Switch means.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the between
two end positions movable second contact influenced by a spring system, the such
is trained; that there is this contact at a point between the end positions
unstable equilibrium position, from which the contact by the spring system in
both end positions can be moved. With this arrangement, you need a switching operation
to influence the moving parts of the switch only by short bursts of compressed air.
The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, which
shows an embodiment of the invention in section.
verbunden. The compressed air switch shown in the drawing has a container 1 which is connected via a line 2 to a compressed air source, not shown. The container 1 is preferably constantly filled with compressed air. A switching point is arranged in the container 1 and consists of a nozzle contact 3 connected to the movable part 4 of the blow valve and a second contact 5 movable between two end positions. The movable part of the blow valve is guided in a cylinder 6 and surrounded by a spring 7 which seeks to keep the blow valve closed. The movable part 4 forms a valve plate 8 at the bottom and, in the closed position, rests with it in a sealing manner on the valve seat 9 which surrounds the outflow opening 10. The movable part 4 is connected to a piston 11 in a cylinder 12. Since the piston is only exposed to a brief pressure surge, seals against the cylinder 12 are not provided. The cylinder can be connected on one side of the piston via a line 13 and a valve 14 either to the free air or to a line 15 carrying compressed air. On the other side of the piston, the cylinder is continuously connected to the open air via the channel 16.
The second contact 5 can be moved between two stable end positions
and is influenced by a spring element, which in this case consists of. two springs 17
and 18 consists. These springs are at one end on the one surrounding the contact 5
Housing attached. The other end of the springs is attached to contact 5 in such a way that
that - when the contact is moved upwards from its lower end position, the springs
are pressed together until the contact reaches an unstable equilibrium,
when the springs act at right angles against the contact. In this position the springs have
so no force component in one of the directions of movement of the contact 5. As soon as
the contact is brought out of this equilibrium position only in the slightest
but receive a force from the springs in one of the contact's directions of movement,
and the contact is quickly moved into one of the two end positions by the springs.
Luft. The contact 5 is connected to a piston 21 in a cylinder 22 by a narrow piston rod 20. 23 is a pressure equalization space which is connected to the rest of the container via an opening 24. This pressure equalization space 23 enables the use of a piston rod 20 with a smaller diameter than the contact 5. This is desirable in view of the fact that one does not want to obtain a greater resultant force on the contact 5 from the compressed air in the container when the cylinder 22 is emptied of compressed air will. This force naturally becomes smaller the thinner the piston rod 20 is. The cylinder space above the piston 21 can be connected via the line 25 and the valve 26 either to the free air or to a line 27 carrying compressed air. The cylinder space under the piston 21 is in constant communication with the free air through the channel 28.
Dieses Schließen geschieht also ganz ohne
Beblasung.
The compressed air switch works as follows: To interrupt the switch, line 13 is connected to line 15 via valve 14 , the space under piston 11 being filled with compressed air. The piston 11 is quickly guided upwards. This means that the movable part 4 of the blow valve is also guided upwards and the valve head 8 is thereby lifted from the valve seat 9. However, an actual flow of compressed air through the outlet opening 10 does not occur because the nozzle contact 3 is still closed by the second contact 5. However, the movable part of the blow valve is stopped in its upper end position, and from this the second contact 5 alone continues its movement in the same direction. The reason for this is, on the one hand, that it was accelerated up to a certain speed by the blower valve and thus has a certain kinetic energy, and on the other hand, because the movable part of the blower valve was moved beyond the previously mentioned equilibrium position of the contact and the springs 17 and 18 now move contact 5 upwards. During this entire process, the space above the piston 21 is connected to the free air via the line 25 and the valve 26. The arc drawn between the contacts 3 and 5 is cooled and extinguished by the compressed air flowing from the container through the nozzle contact 3 and the opening 10. With a suitable delay, the space under the piston 11 is connected to the free air via the line 13 and the valve 14, and the spring 7 returns the movable part of the blow valve to its closed end position, so that the extinguishing air can flow out through the nozzle contact 3 stops. The delay can be determined so that the increase in the distance between the contacts 3 and 5 does not occur before the arc is extinguished. Another advantage of the invention is that the switching point is not closed if the container 1 should be unintentionally emptied of the compressed air due to damage. Closing the switch can be done in two different ways. Once, by briefly connecting the line 25 via the valve 26 to the compressed air line 27, the contact 5 can be given such a shock that it is guided from its upper position past at least its stated position of equilibrium, so that the final closing of the springs 17 and 18 can be worried. This closing takes place completely without blowing. If such a blow is desired, however, it is necessary to first open the blow valve, ie to connect the space under the piston 11 to the compressed air line 15 via the line 13 and the valve 14. After the movable part 4 of the blow valve and the nozzle contact 3 have reached their upper end position and full blowing of the interruption path has begun, the contact 5 is given a switch-on pulse. This can be of such a duration that it - even after the contact 5 has hit the contact 3 - helps to return the movable part of the blow valve to the closed position. Before this, of course, the space under the piston 11 must be reconnected to the free air via the line 13 and the valve 14. When the contact 5 has reached its lower end position, the space above the piston 21 is again connected to the free air via the line 25 and the valve 26. This can be done without the contact pressure dropping to an impermissible value by making the rod 20 very thin, as mentioned, and thus keeping the upward force acting on the contact 5 from the pressure in the container 1 rather small.
