Description
Refractory, chemically bonded, basic or neutral stone, for example, hanging stone for vaults, and methods of making the same die The present invention relates to refractory, chemically bound, basic or neutral stones, which are provided with a sheet metal or wire mesh jacket, this jacket is subsequently placed around the stone or the sheet metal or wire mesh jacket is pressed together with the stone mass and wherein the stone through several inner sheets or inner Dralit fabric inlay is divided into several areas.
Chemically bound basic or neutral stones are advantageous often provided with sheet steel sheathing during the pressing process, but the sheathing can can also be retrofitted to the chemically bonded stone. These were clad in sheet metal Stones (so-called "Steelclad stones") are made without adding any joint building material laid in the simplest way. The sheets scale during operation and through reaction between the sintered magnesite of the stone and the iron oxide of the tin coating - highly refractory magnesium ferrite is formed, which firmly connects the stones. About that In addition, the intermediate layer, which is rich in spinels, acts as a binding and retards the wear and tear of the stones through chipping. This sheet-metal sheathed one was further developed Stone (mostly as Magnesitehromstein), by pressing sheet metal into the Stone itself an interior reinforcement was created. Also scale these inner sheets and together with the magnesium oxide of the stone form highly refractory ribs of magnesium ferrite, stop at the cracks that precede the flaking. This will make the for Basic building materials characteristic wear, flaking, retarding In addition it is known to subdivide the stone by inner sheets running in one direction, because the resistance to temperature changes strongly depends on the degree of subdivision is and thereby an additional improvement in the behavior against temperature fluctuations results.
It has been shown that despite the known subdivision of the stone with inner sheets running in one direction, essentially horizontal cracks occur to a greater extent. The present invention aims to prevent this cracking to be avoided or greatly reduced. According to the invention, this is achieved by that the refractory mass located inside the outer sheet metal jacket by in 1 sheet metal surfaces running in the longitudinal direction of the stone is. In this case, the same number is separated with the same degree of subdivision or partially separated areas of the stone understood, on the basis of the same stone cross-section.
A cross-lattice-shaped subdivision is also already known the refractory mass by means of expanded metal inserts. With these well-known However, only the cross-lattice structure in the Provide longitudinal sectional plane of the stone, in contrast to the present invention, where you, cross-lattice-shaped dividing surfaces are present in planes that are perpendicular lie to the longitudinal axis. Only if this requirement is met does the result particular advantage according to the invention that such a subdivision is far less sensitive to cracking shows as a subdivision of the same degree of subdivision with inner sheets running in one direction only. Another major difference compared to the known statements in question, beini is the subject of present-the invention is that a sheet metal cladding of the stone may be present must, because the desired effect is only achieved through the interaction of the cladding sheets can be achieved with the inner sheets. In contrast, the known Embodiments of the cross-lattice-shaped subdivisions of the stone straight in view applied to the avoidance of an outer coating of the stone.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the cross-lattice-shaped Structure achieved in that in a known manner from the broad sides of the Stone outgoing inner sheets are used, which between their free edges, leave a gap through which a essentially perpendicular to the first-mentioned inner sheets continuous Sheet metal runs.
According to a second embodiment, the outer sheet metal jacket consists in a manner known per se of a U-shaped part and a cover sheet and is characterized in that the cover sheet has webs which extend vertically and longitudinally to approximately the middle of the stone , which face corresponding webs of the U-shaped part in the direction of escape, the continuations of the webs of the U-shaped part beginning approximately in the center plane of the stone are cut open and alternately bent at right angles to the web in one direction or the other after the pressing process. The continuations can be cut vertically or vertically. ER at an angle to the longitudinal direction - follow. The angled cutting has the advantage that the dividing line between the sheets does not lie parallel to the cracks which generally run perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the stone.
- The manufacturing process can be carried out particularly easily in the ultimately-mentioned embodiment. For this purpose, the U-shaped part with the relatively slightly angled continuations only needs to be inserted into the mold and material filled. As a result of the bend before the pressing process is carried out, less material falls into the subregions defined by the web and bend than would correspond to the full degree of filling. Then d # s cover plate - pressed during the pressing process, with the angled parts during the pressing process, turn increasingly, until they reach a substantially vertical position to the lands'. Any deformation-end web and / or the continuations that may occur are generally desirable because this promotes the clamming of the individual sub-areas due to irregularities.
The second embodiment described above results in a system of separated sub-areas, with larger and smaller sub-areas alternating with one another, seen in cross section. Seen in the longitudinal direction of the stone, this results in an alternation of the larger and smaller sub-areas, i. H. another position of the same in the cross-section. This further feature of the invention has proven to be very advantageous for the durability of the stones. According to the knowledge on which the invention is based, this phenomenon is due to the fact that areas of greater and lesser thermal shock resistance alternate with one another, the less strongly subdivided areas being less resistant to temperature changes than the more heavily subdivided areas. Both. Less strongly subdivided areas, that is to say the larger partial areas of the cross-section, therefore first of all a crack formation occurs. This crack formation in turn leads to a jump in the temperature gradient, the heat flow through the adjacent, more subdivided areas, which means that the tendency to crack formation is shifted more upwards and the subsequent crack formation is thus above the crack lies in the area of larger cross-section. This difference in height between the horizontal cracks prevents the formation of continuous cracks at the same height. Stand so that when subdividing into larger and smaller chambers or areas, there is less tendency for uniform layers to flake off than when subdividing into areas of equal size.
The last-mentioned technical teaching can also be found without further ado apply the first-mentioned example of the invention, because this is only necessary is that the between the two aligned web plates perpendicular to the same through-going inner partition plate not from the one boundary wall up to the other is enough, but for example breaks off before the last chamber or otherwise extends only over part of the width of the stone.
The invention is based on the exemplary embodiments in the attached Figures illustrated in more detail.

As can be seen from the figures, the stone 1 consists of the cover plate 2 and the U-shaped cover plate 3. From the cover plate 2 and the U-shaped cover plate 3 go-known web-shaped inner plates 4, which extend up to approximately the Extend the middle plane 5 of the stone ( Figs. 1 to 3). According to the embodiments of FIG. 1 to 3, an inner sheet 6 running perpendicular to the web sheets is inserted, which Clemäß F i g. 1 runs continuously from one leg to the other leg of the U-shaped plate, while the embodiments of FIGS . 2 and 3 each only extends over part of the cross-section.
In the F i g. 4, 4 a, 5 a and 5 b , an embodiment is illustrated in which the webs 4 'attached to the U-shaped cladding plate attack continuations 7 , which are cut open in the manner illustrated, with the continuations divided in this manner alternating after one or the other side can be bent. The alternating bending of the continuations 7 can be clearly seen from the cross-sectional images 5 a and 5 b . In FIG. 4 a, the continuations 7 are cut at an angle. The manufacturing process of the stone according to the invention is shown in FIG. 6 illustrates schematically. In the mold 8 , the U-shaped casing sheet 3 is first inserted, the continuations 7 of the webs e being slightly bent to one or the other side, as illustrated by solid or dashed lines. After filling in the material 9 , the cover plate 2 is pressed down by means of the ram 10 until the extensions 7 have deformed as far as can be seen in FIGS. 5 a and 5 b can be seen. After completion of the pressing process, the lateral free spaces 11 initially present when the U-shaped jacket piece is inserted are practically filled as a result of the expansion of the lower sheet metal part.
In FIG. 7 illustrates the particularly advantageous effect of the invention which results when smaller and larger partial areas alternate with one another within the stone and over an entire stone association. For the sake of simplicity, it is assumed that the stones consist of a single larger area K 1 and a single smaller area K2. According to general experience, the horizontal crack formation then occurs first in the larger area Kl in the form of the horizontal crack Hl. The formation of this horizontal crack results in the formation of a strong temperature gradient, so that the heat conduction now takes place in the manner illustrated by the arrow F through the adjacent chamber K2. The consequence of this is that the crack formation does not occur at the same level as in crack H 1, but above it and later in the smaller chamber K 2, as is illustrated by crack H 2. As can be seen from the indicated association of the stones hanging next to each other, there is no continuous horizontal crack, but a gradation in the crack heights, which means that whole areas can no longer flake off, but rather irregular flaking occurs at the most on individual stones. which affects the service life by far not as much as the flaking off of entire layers.
In FIG. 8 is an embodiment. illustrates a stone according to the invention in association. In the illustrated division of the stone, there is inevitably an alternation of smaller and larger areas not only across the cross-sectional extent of the stone, but across the entire association.
