Diese Befestigung erfolgt üblicherweise durch Hohlniete, die in ihrer Bohrung zugleich das Gewinde für die Bedienungsschrauben der Spreizhebel enthalten, die deren innere Enden mit ihrem Kopf unter Druck setzen, wenn der Tragring mit dem Sockel in der Wanddose befestigt wird. Für die Befestigung der Abdeckung sind dann noch zwei weitere, im Boden der Aufnahmeöffnung der Abdeckung vorgesehene Kopfschrauben erforderlich, deren Gewindemuttern am Gerätesockel besonderen Platz beanspruchen. Diese Bauart hat aber auch montagemäßige Nachteile. Die Montage erfolgt in der Regel der Kosten wegen akkordmäßig. Dabei ist es für den Monteur schwierig, die Einsetzung des Tragringkörpers mit Sockel so vorzunehmen, daß die Mitten der Steckerbuchsen genau waagerecht bzw. senkrecht im Raum liegen, weil diese sich verhältnismäßig tief im Dosenraum befinden.
