Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The subject of the present invention is a process for the production of insulating Structures that are to be used, in particular, for the construction of ice cellars and other cooling systems. It characterizes This process is characterized by the fact that the building block produced in this way is in its interior has a cavity that contains ground cork pellets. This stone has an insulating capacity that has not been achieved with any other material so far, and should therefore be used for the purposes mentioned above, namely for ice cellars and other cooling systems, can be used with advantage.
Das Verfahren wird in folgender Weise ausgeübt: The procedure is carried out in the following way:
In a shape α (Fig. 1) corresponding to the shape of the future stone, there is also a second shape b , already known for the production of cement and similar structures provided with inlays, suspended from the side walls as well as from the floor equidistant from the outer shape α . The porous - gufsfertige mass is poured into the form α , initially up to the upper edge of the core form b. This core shape b generally has a slight conic shape downwards in order to enable it to be lifted out more easily. After the porous, ready-to-cast compound has reached the level of the upper edge of the suspended core form b , i.e. at the level of line xx in FIG Claims. After the mass has solidified, the core form b is filled with ground cork grist. After this measure, the mold b is pulled out and the mold a is filled with the same porous mass as before, so that a ceiling of the porous cast mass is located above the cavity filled with ground cork, which has the same thickness as the bottom of the mold α.
The building block produced with this method can be produced in any size and the overall insulating effect that occurs is made up as follows :
Due to its large porosity, the outer shell forms an excellent insulating medium,
This insulating capacity is significantly increased by the inner cork pellet insert.
