Verwendung finden.Push-pull @ anode B modulator The invention relates to an anode B modulator
With a smaller and particularly low-scatter transformer, as used in the construction of transmitters
Find use.
Sender. In Fig. 1 is an anode B modulation outlined in the general
usual circuit. Here Röl and Rö "are the two working in push-pull
B modulator amplifier tubes, T1 the modulation transformer and S the one to be modulated
Channel.
The transformer T1 is of substantial size and size
Weight. This results in a high manufacturing price. In addition, the transformer must
but also be designed with little scatter, which is achieved by subdividing the winding
with mutual nesting. The larger the frequency ranges to be transmitted
should be, the less scatter is permissible. The one flowing in the windings
Current also requires a premagnetization, which makes an air gap necessary,
which inevitably leads to an increase in the spread. The subdivision of the winding egg
also leads to insulation difficulties, which require increased spacing.
These also increase the spread.
According to the invention, the anode B-modulator contains these deficiencies
a modulation transformer that has a single continuous winding
which successively the anode of the first modulation amplifier tube Röl, the anode DC voltage supply,
the anode of the second modulation amplifier tube tube, and at the end of an extension winding
d the anode of the transmitter tube S to be modulated are connected.
Streuung hervorrufende Wicklung c, so liegen nunmehr a und b ohne
Abstand direkt aufeinander.
Der Strom bleibt also in
der Schaltung gemäß F i g. 2 konstant, während in der Schaltung gemäß F i g. 1 jede
As in the embodiment of the invention according to FIG. 2 is that in the known arrangement according to FIG. 1 existing winding c in T1 is omitted. In one half-cycle the primary winding a and the secondary winding b -f- d, in the other half-cycle the primary winding b and the secondary winding is also b + d. The additional winding d is used for one hundred percent modulation in order to take into account the residual voltages remaining on Röl and Rö2. The winding d is relatively small; it can preferably be selected as follows, where d and b represent the number of turns of the relevant winding, U "the anode voltage and U the residual voltage: With an anode voltage of 3000 V and a residual voltage of 300 V, d is therefore 11 0/0 of b or 10% of c in FIG. 1. The effort for the additional winding d is therefore low. The insulation difficulties are reduced because the winding is uninterrupted. It is also readily understandable that the scatter has become smaller. If the winding c, which forms a spacing, i.e. which causes scattering, was between a and b , then a and b now lie directly on top of one another without any spacing. The copper savings are not immediately understandable. At first one is tempted to assume that in FIG. 2 the copper cross-section of b would have to be as large as in FIG. 1 of b and c together because in FIG. 2 both Rö2 and the transmitter S take their currents via b . For Rö2, however, the winding b is to be understood as a choke which, as a self-induction, has the tendency to keep a current flowing through it constant. If Rö2 increases its anode current during modulation, the voltage at the anode falls and with it the voltage at the transmitter, the anode current in the transmitter decreases until the sum of the current in Rö and transmitter S has its original value. The current thus remains in the circuit according to FIG. 2 constant, while in the circuit according to FIG. 1 each winding has direct and alternating current flowing through it. The copper cross-section of winding b in FIG. 2 can therefore be smaller than that of each individual winding in FIG. 1, this is also because the form factor is almost unity during a half cycle due to the direct current. There is no immediate advantage for winding a. The scatter between a on the one hand and b + d on the other hand is also smaller because the dimensions of the winding b have become smaller and the scatter that originally existed for c no longer applies.
