Description
Process for the multi-stage molding of wells in a step-by-step process advanced, thin metal strip The invention relates to a method for multi-stage Shaping the cups in a thin metal band that is gradually advanced several male and female dies, one after the other, in the following step, wherein each cup is first preformed and then in at least one further deformation stage is reshaped.
The preferred field of application of the invention is in the field the deformation of aluminum foil strips for the production of molded packs, d. H. Shapes that also remain on the goods as packaging, for meltable or malleable ones Food such as B. Chocolate. Other strips of material can also have the same or similar properties such as thin metal strips that are difficult to stretch and easily tear when deformed, deformed according to the method according to the invention, especially z. B. also some types of paper and the like.
In known methods for the multi-stage molding of wells in a gradually advanced metal band is proceeded so that stamp increasing Size, especially with increasing axial length, are pressed into the belt one after the other, so that a gradually deepening bowl arises, and this also applies to the first Deformation step a whole cup is already formed. Most well-known Process of this type are still so-called hold-downs used to achieve a To prevent wrinkling.
A suggestion has also been described in the literature at are pressed into the bowl into individual metal strip parts cut for this purpose, allowing wrinkling at the side edges.
It is also a method of making wrapped filled Chocolates, tablets or the like. Known, in which the filling directly into a die Sheath forming mold is poured. Here, in an endless band of tin or aluminum foil embossed flat, cup-like shapes in the run, which after Filling and cover are punched out of the tape. This known method but only refers to the molding of flat cups, where the tape only has to be stretched by relatively small amounts.
It has been shown that with the previously known methods already the molding of individual bowls in thin metal tape, even with the permission of wrinkling difficult to implement. It was absolutely impossible to put these bowls in a running one Ribbon strung together or at least to be shaped in groups in sheets, because here the possible all-round replenishment of material with individual deformation not more is possible.
The invention is based on the object, in thin metal band bowls, in particular to shape figure shapes for molded packs that have an irregular shape Cross-section and / or have a relatively large depth.
In the method according to the invention, the band is in the first deformation stage seen in the feed direction over the front of the preform male and only slightly molded onto this and on all sides in the second deformation stage pressed over the preform male. So it will essentially only be about that at first front half of the bowl and only then the back half. The bowl is now complete, but it does not yet need to be in its finished shape to have, rather it can then be further deformed in any way.
With the method according to the invention, bowls made of aluminum foil can for the first time are mass-produced on a large scale. At every level of work so much material is collected around the patrix that it is necessary for the subsequent work stages Sufficient material reserves are available. In the method according to the invention The main focus is on the careful shaping with ongoing, sufficient Material replenishment, so that practically in all deformation processes again and again occurring cracks can be avoided. For this reason the patrices are also selected as a lower tool, over which the film strips are guided, there the material replenishment is easier to manage. The die is made from at least two hollow punches, of which the first only a half which includes figures to be embossed. In the simplest case, the first die only forms about half of the bowl to be formed. The remaining half will be in the second or another shaped. The functional coordination between the first Stamp and the following is carried out so that the second is the incoming Tape only holds on at first. In the next step, the first stamp then forms the the first following bowl, while the second forms the bowl. For more difficult, irregular bowl shapes it is very advantageous to shape the bowl on two or even to distribute even more post-forming punches.
From the above conditions, it can be seen that it is appropriate the stamps, but at least the first one on the one hand and the second and all subsequent ones on the other hand operated out of phase, d. that is, first of all the second - at the beginning of the process - the incoming foil tape holds and then the preform punch begins its work. All further formations then proceed in the cycle change described above.
The use of two or more punches is especially important when In the case of forms made up of two halves, fixation of the two halves true to the image and the figure necessary is. The third and possibly further stamps then have the task of determine the exact position of the individual shapes in the band. It is more crucial Significance for the successful operation of the method according to the invention that the surfaces of the matrix and patrix are well finished and smooth to a high quality.
The possible embodiments of the invention are not limited to those described Examples limited. In particular, it will be advantageous if, for. B. before and possibly also so-called "material pusher" installed between the individual punches that accomplish a certain pre-gathering of the foil tape. Also can one can use already "gathered" foil strips with good results, so that when shaping reserve material is available from the gathered foil strips.
