Der Luftstrom gibt nicht nur den Gasen eine bestimmte Bewegungsrichtung und erleichtert so ihr Abführen, sondern er bewirkt auch sofort eine starke Verdünnung der Gase, die ihre Schädlichkeit vermindert und die Gefahr der Bildung einer explosiblen Mischung praktisch beseitigt. Der Luftstrom wird durch Leitbleche 9 begrenzt, durch den Trichter 10 aufgefangen, zu der Leitung 11 geführt und in dieser zum Kamin geleitet.
