Zweistufentrocknungsverfahren für kolloidale Stoffe, z. B. Braunkohle
Two-stage drying process for colloidal substances, e.g. B. lignite
The invention relates to a two-stage drying process for colloidal
Substances, e.g. B. lignite, with dehydration of the substances by heating in a first
Treatment stage and drying by convection in a second treatment stage.
It is known that raw products are obtained in nature through degradation
be e.g. B. Lignite and peat, in their original colloidal state, contain water,
which is difficult to remove. The cause that leads to trouble is
in the admixture of particles about a ten-thousandth of a millimeter in diameter
to search. They cannot be eliminated in the usual way by filtering. Except
by electrolysis, which is not economically viable on an industrial scale,
The particles can be created by heating the colloidal substances to that temperature
are precipitated, in which these substances disintegrate into water and the colloid substance.
Accordingly, it is known to dry colloidal substances in two stages, with these
dehydrated in the first stage by heating in water or steam in a resting state
will. The drying of lignite is carried out in two stages, a pretreatment
by heating to 120 to 180 ° C and drying at normal normal temperatures
below 100 ° C. During the pretreatment, a considerable part of the water is used
released so that the drying then only takes a short time.
The heating during the pretreatment is done in water or
Steam carried out in the autoclave under increased pressure or convective in the heated one
Gas flow. Compared to the autoclave treatment, the method according to the invention allows
a substantial saving in terms of equipment and the continuous implementation of the
Procedure. Compared to convective heating, it avoids its disadvantages, namely
the uneconomical evaporation of part of the. emerging from the colloidal substances
Water and the drying of the substances on its surface and reduces the at
this type of heating tendency to disintegrate.
The invention consists in d-aß the method described at the outset
is carried out so that the heating in the first stage by radiant heat
takes place with constantly circulated material. This way it gets into the to be dried
Colloidally bound water is mostly deposited in a liquid state,
by the water dripping from the fabrics.

The system according to FIGS. 1 to 3, the untreated wet material
absorbs it, drains it and releases it dry, consists of the terrace pre-dryer
1 for heating the fabrics and a belt dryer 2 connected to this, which is connected to
heated air or direct fire gases works. The item to be treated is by means of
a conveyor belt 3 introduced into the terrace dryer 1, over its successive
Bands 4, 5 and 6 Radiant heater 10, with the particular advantage of ultrared radiators,
are built in. Their capacity depends on the temperature that is required
is to cause a separation of the water from the colloidal substance. The order
is made in such a way that the fabrics are not only at the transition points from a tape
on the other hand, but also during the movement on the belts 4 to 6
will. At the transition to the subsequent sloping upward band
If the materials are rearranged, the more different parts of the material are added to the heating medium
suspend. The substances are dehydrated in the process. The water drips off and becomes over
a sheet 7 and a channel 9 removed. For example, if the substances are initially about
400% water, based on the dry weight of the goods, so
will
deposited about 3001% or more in this way. The remaining 100 ° / o will be
removed from the material by evaporation as usual in the subsequent belt dryer.
Depending on the type of material to be treated, the water content can vary from the above
Values differ. In any case, however, during the heating in the pre-dryer, the
by far the largest part of the water is withdrawn as a liquid.
Fig. 3 zeigt.
In the belt dryer 2, which may also be directly on
can connect the patio dryer 1, the property rests. This is what the desiccant is used for
emotional. It flows through the layer of fabric 18 lying on the belt 17, as
Fig. 3 shows. From fans 12, which are driven via a gear 11,
the air heated by heating elements 13 flows from above onto the material layer and
is circulated in the direction of arrows 14, 15, 16.
