Description
The invention relates to an electric gap fuse for projectiles with two concentrically arranged and electrodes substantially parallel to each other.
An electric detonator for igniting explosive charges of all kinds has already been proposed, in which a large number of spark gaps are formed between two electrical poles that lead to one or more larger spark gaps can be integrated, this plurality of spark gaps Forms over the smallest metal cross-sections, due to the very small thickness that can be selected an insulation layer given distances are isolated from each other. The named smallest metal cross-sections z. B. from a bundle of the thinnest insulated wires (high-frequency lacquer strand) be formed or from a spiral winding made of the thinnest metal foil with insulation on one side exist. In the latter case, the metal foil of the roll can also be on one or as many as desired Places on short stretches are interrupted, so that the conductive connection between the beginning of the winding and end is omitted.
It is also known that a metal rivet is inserted into the insulating body as a center electrode, while as a second electrode, a metal sleeve is used, which contains an ignition material and which is passed through the insulating body is closed, and that the insulating body with the exception of the outwardly directed end face is provided on all sides with a metal layer that conductively connects the two electrodes, the latter is ground away at one end of the insulating body. It is also known that the compound is effected between two electrodes exclusively by at least one metal wire which is interrupted at one point.
However, in contrast to the present invention, it is a bridge igniter, since no interruption of the graphite layer is provided. According to another older proposal, the Ignition spark is generated by the gap that separates the two electrodes, and is therefore in a single one Point localized. For this reason it seems advantageous if the initial explosive is made conductive becomes what z. B. can be done by adding finely divided graphite. Thanks to this admixture the explosive is ignited at several points, as an ignition spark first occurs between the two Electrodes and the one near the gap - Electric gap fuse for projectiles

findlichen Graphitstellen und schließlich auch zwischen den verschiedenen Graphitstellen selbst entsteht.sensitive graphite points and ultimately also between the various graphite points themselves.
This shows that to ensure a satisfactory ignition security it is necessary that the two electrodes are arranged so that the smallest possible gap is created between them, since the spark generation is directly proportional to the width of this gap depending on the voltage applied. Obviously, such an arrangement is not easy to make and, even if carefully executed, it can change as a result of the handling of the projectile. In addition, the explosive must be well mixed with graphite. This in turn means that the amount of graphite has a very specific relationship to the amount of explosives in question.
The object of the present invention is to avoid the disadvantages indicated and to create a projectile gap fuse in which the arrangement of the two electrodes does not cause any difficulties and is practically of no importance for the proper functioning of the fuse, when only a small amount of graphite is used.
Die gestellte Aufgabe wird dadurch gelöst, daß zwischen den beiden Elektroden ein mit der Sprengladung in Berührung stehendes und durch einen Spalt voneinander getrenntes Streifenpaar aus Graphit oderThe object is achieved in that between the two electrodes a with the explosive charge a pair of graphite strips that are in contact and separated from one another by a gap or

Dabei ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß zwischen den beiden Elektroden auch mehrere jeweils durch einen Spalt voneinander getrennte Streifenpaare liegen können.material consisting of a cylindrical insulating body, which is penetrated by the axial center electrode, with on the surface of the insulating body between the head of the center electrode and the peripheral edge of the insulating body through the gap from each other separate pairs of strips of graphite or a graphite-containing composition applied is and on the carrier formed on the insulating body, the explosives held by means of a cover plate are piled up. It is provided according to the invention that also between the two electrodes several pairs of strips separated from one another by a gap can lie.
The technical progress achieved by the invention is primarily in the significant simplification and the resulting increased security. As soon as a spark clears the gap skips between a pair of graphite strips, it immediately spreads over the whole explosive, what causes a very rapid ignition. In addition, this gap is when handling the Cannot change the projectile, which is not possible by its nature and therefore not, because the pair or pairs of graphite strips are well protected inside the igniter.
Es zeigtThe invention is described with reference to the drawings, for example. It shows

The electrode 1 is in the form of a tube with a bent lower edge 2 and comprises the z. B. made of plastic cylindrical insulating body 3, which is supported by the axial center electrode 4 is interspersed. By this measure, the insulating body 3 is held immovably. On the surface it is between the head of the center electrode 4 and the peripheral edge of the insulating body 3 a pair of strips which are separated from one another by a gap 7 and are in contact with the explosive charge 10 6 made of graphite or a graphite-containing composition applied to the electrode 1 or the electrode 4 is in an electrically conductive connection. On the carrier formed on the insulating body 3 are the explosives 10, 11, 12 held by means of a cover plate 13 engaging in an annular groove 14 piled up.
According to a preferred embodiment, a strip made of graphite or a graphite-containing Composition from the center of the electrode 4 to the peripheral edge of the insulating body 3 without interruption applied and then interrupted to produce the gap 7 at a suitable point, for example cut through with a knife, creating the pair of strips 6. The Slot 7, preferably formed by inclined cut surfaces 8, as can be seen from FIG. 3.
In this way, very rapid, economical production is made possible, with the location and the size and the shape of the gap 7 can be predetermined with great accuracy.
It is obvious that in the context of the invention, instead of a single pair of strips 6, several and that the same may be used instead of graphite or a graphite-containing composition can consist of any other substance, insofar as this fulfills the necessary requirements, d. H. has good electrical conductivity, is completely invariable and differs from the with the substances brought into contact with it in the detonator is neutral.
