Hintergrundbackground
One of the better known uses of X-rays is the application as a diagnostic tool in medicine and dentistry. X-rays are used as such to visualize anatomical structures and to detect pathologies, diseases or anatomical abnormalities. Advances in X-ray technology include the use of digital x-ray equipment, where images are digital be recorded. The application of digital x-ray equipment can be a potential harmful Greatly reduce the radiation exposure of a patient. This is sharper image detail provided and also the editing is easy.
Studies in the field of Dentistry has shown that for a more accurate diagnosis two or three X-ray images recorded at different angles required are. Those X-rays are usually provided by an auditor considered in detail and edited in the head of the examiner and with each other compared to imagine a three-dimensional representation.
Various Systems have been developed to gain three-dimensional information including transmission x-ray microscope and axial computed tomography (CAT) scanners Axial Tomography Scanner "). These systems combine transmission x-ray systems using tomographic reconstruction techniques to restore three-dimensional information from sets of sectional images enable. These Systems require a big one Number of slices taken from different directions an object. The digital image data is stored in a computer Processed to give a detailed three-dimensional image of the to create the object to be examined.
These systems are complicated and generally expensive what they are something inaccessible and expensive. Furthermore is that for the generation of a CAT image required amount of radiation very high compared to two-dimensional standard images. Therefore There is a need for a system and method of removal three-dimensional information from two-dimensional X-ray images, which system is relatively easy to use, accessible and affordable and limited Irradiation of a patient or other object.
ZusammenfassungSummary
Disclosed are systems and methods for obtaining stereoscopic x-ray images. The method includes taking two digital X-ray images the same object from different positions. The trapped one Angle between the axes of X-rays for the respective position coincides overall with the angle, which is formed by a pair of eyes, which looks at the object will, though larger angles can be used. The X-rays can of two x-ray generators be generated, either in a common housing or housed in separate, interconnected housings. The X-ray generators are spaced apart and aim at the object, thereby forming an appropriate angle. It is ensured that the object is not moved. The x-ray generators preferably have double collimators for capturing the images. In this case, the time interval between the generation of the both x-rays just to be equal to the image acquisition time of the sensor used, which reduces the likelihood that the object will move.
The digital data from the sensor for each position is processed in a conventional manner to provide an image of the object from each position. The generated two images are displayed so that each eye of the observer can only see the corresponding image. Conventional methods of displaying three-dimensional (3D) images can be used. For example, the images can be polarized and be visible through a corresponding polarization glasses. The images may preferably be displayed on a 3D LCD screen, e.g. Sharp Actius TM RD3D. On such screens, the two images overlap, but different pixels are used for each image. An LCD filter limits the angle at which light from the pixels is visible so that the image corresponding to the left eye of the subject can be viewed only through the left eye and vice versa. Other screens have ribs for restricting the viewing angle for each pixel. Other methods for viewing stereoscopic images include video glasses that display different images to the corresponding eye, or a 3D viewer with mirrors to reflect inflecting the corresponding image from two monitors to the corresponding eye of the viewer.
