Description
B. Benzin, Benzol, Trichloräthylen u. a. Process for degreasing of metals or textiles Objects The degreasing of objects made of metals or textiles is costly and time consuming, especially when it comes to the greasy spills are mineral oils or fats. In general, some of them are flammable volatile solvents used, such as. B. gasoline, benzene, trichlorethylene and others. It is also known that the objects to be degreased with dissolved in water per se known chemical degreaser to treat. These are the expensive ones volatile organic solvents with their other disadvantages avoided, however it is necessary to have elevated temperatures of up to about 100 ° for an effective solution process C to be provided.
The invention is based on the mentioned disadvantages to avoid the one hand in the use of organic solvents and on the other hand consist in the application of elevated temperatures. With the invention it is possible to do that Work goods in a relatively short time in a single operation at temperatures below 40 ° C from all even stubbornly adhering greasy dirt to free. This is achieved in that the wetted with acidified water or Washed items to be cleaned are exposed to an ozonized air stream, the sodium thiosulphate in the form of a finely sprayed aqueous solution.
The treatment of textiles with ozonated air is known per se. It was done for bleaching purposes, including in particular the fibers of the bleaching effect have been exposed to laundry.
In the method according to the invention, in contrast to what is known no bleaching effect can be achieved, which is accepted as a side effect but greasy spills are treated in a surprisingly easy way relatively low temperatures away. Nothing remains on the laundry adverse film. This is of particular advantage when z. B. for metals a galvanic surface refinement should take place before degreasing. For textile degreasing, Degreasing of raw wool and yarns takes place at temperatures without attacking the fibers worked that exclude a structural change or matting. Further the textiles are bleached as a side effect and any colors that may be present refreshed. It works as follows: The items to be cleaned are wetted with water, small amounts of acid such as acetic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid and others are added are. The laundry is then exposed to an ozonized air stream, the sodium thiosulphate in the form of a finely sprayed aqueous solution. This makes a good one Contact between ozone (0s) and greasy pollution. The ozone and the The peroxyde compounds formed by the type of ozone generation applied are evident water soluble. The adhesion of fats and oils, which are also less saponifiable in themselves, decreases to a negligible fraction. It is formed by the action of ozone on sodium thiosulphate in connection with water thiosulphuric acid as unstable intermediate stage, from which mainly polythionic acids, such as among others Di-, tri-, tetra- and pentathionic acid, which affects the introduced oils and fats, Paraffins and waxes have an effect and this mainly through complicated oxidation processes make water soluble. Soap-like masses form, which are also found in the water Dissolve completely at low temperatures.
